pass. 24k is waaaayy too much for that car.
not that it has large effects on the value but that drivers seat is destroyed by the bolster and that's a really strange color top on a black 03 that I've never seen before.

It's a parchment top, and factory. You need to see it in person to best decide, but it's priced a couple grand to high.

Yes, it's a factory parchment top. 2003 black Cobra convertible numbers:
Medium Graphite Interior - 1,095 Black Top
Medium Parchment Interior - 68 Black Top and 122 Parchment Top

The price is definitely high, but you would first have to find out what the actual mileage is, proven by documentation. Only then would you want to make an offer.

Should have worded that better, I knew it was factory parchment the color combo is rare and I’ve never seen it being that only 122 were made.

It's a little high, but not heavily modded either. That's pretty close by me. Go offer 21k and walk away happy with a good deal.

Yeah a tad high but if u can verify mileage and it has some kind of service history and you want a mildly modded car (he, pulley, cia, gauges) AND you love the color combo then 24 or 25 out the door is not too high if you love it.
If you are looking for a deal or are a non emotional buyer then 21 or 22 otd.

Agree with the other too high IMO, I got my 03 black vert with just intake/cat back last summer for $16.7K with 46K miles that was in really nice shape. Keep shopping...I found most at dealerships $3-5K more and you really don't have any more of a guarantee it wasn't beat to hell than from buying private.

Too high but looks like a nice car. Love parchment top/interior though but I am biased. I agree with posts above, 21k absolute max. It does have some nice mods so there’s value to some in that.

Sometimes, LESS of a guarantee. A private sale often gets you a lot of info about the car, especially if the current owner has had it for awhile. A dealer on the other hand often takes in a trade, asks basically no questions, and the new owner ends up with no history on the car. We've seen many a post on SVTP from a new owner looking for info on a previous owner in order to collect some history on the car.

Thanks guys. I offered 21k and they said no. So search will continue. May even get a fox body in the mean time and wait a year. Been out of my cobra for about 11 years now. Midlife crisis are real!! Just turned 36 lol

Are you specifically looking for a black car with parchment top? If you are then pursue it further. If not I’d pass on this car and find another for $3-5k less

Says they can go down "a few hundred" at what point would you bite??
Potential odometer roll back on Carfax but they say it was an error on a title stating 15k mi instead of 45k.... Thoughts?
It looks like a pretty nice car for the money and the performance the price seems reasonable! There is always some wiggle room for negotiation don’t be afraid to talk to him. I’ve had my convertible since 2007 from the first owner never look back I’ve considered selling my car but then when I do I think how much money will I have to spend to replace the performance in my 2004 cobra probably more than 20,000.
