Not doubting, but just making sure my math isn’t retarded..

LB was ~15000 tons of TNT
FM was ~21000 tons

Now we need a conversion.

I want to preface before I post, that I’m well aware the blasts from #Lebabomb won’t be anywhere near that, nor detonated at 2000 feet

Plus the difference in heat damage from radiation before the shockwave even hits.

not at my post...
According to another article little boy has a explosion diameter of 5 miles. This explosion was knocking out windows in a 10 mile diameter.

little boy flattened the ****ing city...this did nothing like that, not even remotely close.

I know the overall force will be less, and I was mistaken as I was took the blast radius be to blast diameter based on the picture below.

We do know the blast today knocked out windows from a radius of 10km like the picture above. I’m also assuming the blast today was restricted since it took place below ground instead of the unrestricted little boy.

Thank you.
Fireball, no fireball, windows at 5km, windows at 10km...

Flash melting people and scorching the wall around their shadow is a different beast than a big ass/holy **** explosive.

While this was impressive it sure as shit is nothing compared to the tiny nukes dropped on Japan... Nukes are on their own level of destruction and shear power.

Nukes today are very different than little boy from 70 yrs ago. Im just going by what one article states, destructive power up to 10km. Is it wrong? It could be. the destructive force of todays explosion, 10km.

Just looking at it sure isnt atomic. Not to mention that'd be picked up on a number of types of sensors all over the world.

Sketchy, yup. Nuke, nope.

EVERYONE knows if you set a nuke off even below ground. No hiding the tell tale signs. Plus they'd pick up radiation 100 or 1000 miles away. Not to mention all the videos popping up would show a totally different aftermath.

It’s not even close. This says it all.

What’s worst case scenario right now? 1000 deaths? Maybe 2000? We’re talking 200,000 deaths had Little Boy been detonated in the same spot. Everything would literally be flattened. There would be no one running around anywhere close to ground zero taking video and posting it to social media. These people recording the explosion would never get the chance to upload it as they would have been killed instantly. That’s just from the blast. The radiation from Nukes is a whole different type of destruction. It’s literally silly to even compare them.

What is the pressure radius? This explosion had a 10km radius.

Also an explosion in the air will have more destructive force than one underground surrounded by concrete like this one.

All I know that air pressure that knocks out windows 10km/5miles away is not you average bomb middle!

Ok so from the few videos I’ve seen there was clearly a fire...ya know smoke and shit before the explosion.

Are some of you suggesting this was a missile or bomb?

This was posted earlier in the thread. You can definitely see something in that circle in the last few seconds of that vid. Witnesses are saying the same.

Little Boy @ Hiroshima was apparently 1000 times more powerful! That puts things into perspective. This Beirut explosion was a little fart by comparison!

Terrifying Explosion in Beirut Wasn't Nuclear, Experts Say, And Here's Why

A back-of-the-envelope calculation reshared on Twitter by Narang suggests the blast was equivalent to around 240 tons of TNT, or about 10 times as large as the US military's "mother of all bombs" or MOAB is capable of unleashing. By contrast, the "Little Boy" bomb that the US dropped on Hiroshima in 1945 was about 1,000 times as powerful.
