I saw that and have mixed feelings. Reliability and lack of low end torque are real concerns with this engine. Not to mention DIY work could be an issue. Maybe I'm just old school, but I still gravitate towards the C6Z with the LS7. An LS7 with some minor tweaks for reliability and performance is hard to beat.

AO we're probably 4 years away from a zr1. This new z06 I hope ends up being the c6z of yesteryear, punching above its weight for a decade +. Not sure how they're keeping the weight down tho considering the c8 is 3600+lbs.

**** me. What a bad ass piece of machinery that will be.

Talk about slapping Ford and their Voodoo directly in the face.

I am right there with you on this one. I still love both the old C5Z and C6Z. I am seriously thinking of picking one up for my next car but it HAS to be either yellow or red!

The C8Z will be about a balanced chassis built for magazine times. Not all out power like the ZR1/Zora will be

Lack of low end and whatever other nonsense that's bantered about is just ill informed in this day and age. Appropriately geared transmissions and FD more than make up for that. Just look at the Audi R8 V10. NA and that car punches way above it's weight class.

The C8Z is going to be a monster.

Absolutely awesome, and assuming no major hiccups, once people boost it, it should be competing with all the fully built supercars.

It’ll be a monster. Props to them for returning the Z06 back to its roots. Shame we won’t get a Grand Sport model.

Pick your poison.
