From what I have read, he was one of the rare good guys in Hollywood and I was shocked to hear the news today when I read it. You just never would have guessed he had cancer the entire time he was making some of these movies. He was a great actor and you hate to see the truly good ones die young.

I've never seen any of his movies but he's my age and that's way too damn young. My father has colon cancer too, it's a real mother f'er.

So they’re doing a tribute on ABC.
He looked like a stand up guy.
Not unbelievable it would turn political.
Taking a tragedy and instead of honoring CB’s body of work it’s turned it into a pandering event is pathetic.

I'd never heard of him before his death but I thought maybe he had eradicated world hunger with all the tributes. I haven't seen anyone honored this much since George Floyd.

May he Rest In Peace.

I think the suddenness of his death+ just learning he battled cancer for 4 years, and at a younger age while acting at a high level plays a role in the tributes. Was in a lot of movies recently and appeared to be a humble respected person.

Never took the spotlight either with his diagnosis. Appeared a lot in children cancer centers too, from what I've read.

the fact that he did all these movies while battling cancer... come on now.

I think when his colon cancer was detected it was already at stage 3, which has about a 40% cure rate. The movies and projects he made during the past four years (along with appearances such as on SNL) he did likely knowing there was the possibility they maybe his last.
