Last month, FCA revealed the highly-anticipated Ram TRX—an ultra-high-performance fullsize pickup with a supercharged HEMI V8 from the Hellcat line. However, this camo-free validation prototype broke down near I-75. The situation necessitated the prototype to be flat-towed, making it do the proverbial walk of shame back to the lab.

The TRX will be powered by the 6.2L HEMI V8 making 702 hp. The supercharged HEMI V8 will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The combo will be capable of propelling the truck to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, down the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph and up to a top speed of 118 mph.

Out of curiosity what bling do you mean?

Side by side it literally has everything the raptor has and then some. Wider bed sides and fenders, bead lock wheels, heck it’s wider overall than the current raptor. Larger tires, sits higher, unique interior to the TRX vs standard ram. I’m not sure what’s missing?

take the engine discussion out of the mix and the raptor and TRX are very very similar side by side.

I mean like the front where u KNOW its a Raptor and not an F150. This just doesn't scream performance truck like the Raptor does and I prefer Dodge trucks over Ford so im not hating.

I want a truck that LOOKS badass not only performs like a badass.

I don’t think you’re hating, I was just curious. This brings up a good point though, I think the problem is the TRX is an extension of the rebel. The raptor has very little in common with the FX4 so it really stands out more like you mention. I think once the TRX is seen on the road though it’ll be clear to see its presence as the over all width and sound will really give it away.

there is no mistaking a raptor though that’s for sure.

Well, from that angle it does look pretty good I must admit. Maybe even better.

min really curious to see the refresh of the raptor. I worry based on current renderings the new head lamps will look awkward. The interior should be a huge step up. I also wonder if they will make it a bit wider since the TRX is wider than the current raptor

My buddy just picked up a brand new Grey Raptor and man is it Dope! Company paid for it as his take home lucky bastard!

It rides like a freakn Cadillac in comfort mode. Just an incredible machine! I think the interior could be a little better but I guess that could be said for all trucks.

I do think that wider stance on the TRX gives it a better look. Like looking at the GNX or Demon from the rear it just looks beefier lol IDN if that's even a word beefier but u know what I mean. I just dont think its all that appealing from the side.

from the side the body lines definitely look more mellow to the raptor.

when I was truck shopping last I definitely wanted a raptor. They drive great, for me at the time the ram interior and the price savings was a huge plus. The way I looked at it, for the money the raptors go for I wanted everything I want out of a truck and at the time that included a V8.

mig the raptor has a V8 option I would have spent the extra 15k or so I think it was. Currently I’m very happy with my Laramie and it’s close to paid for so it’s tough to want a payment again but if the raptor gets a v8 I’d be very interested to check out both offerings again next year.

From this angle the front doors look shorter than the rear. Probably an illusion, but it looks odd to me....

The performance numbers have me baffled. I know it’s heavier- but a 17+ tuned 3.5 is putting up the same performance numbers. Obviously that’s on pavement, and a tuned F150 would not perform the same off road. Just seems like the horsepower is off.

It's probably a megacab. They have a little extra length behind the doors. It looks weird to me.
The mega cab is exclusive to the HD trucks and doesn’t extend the doors just the depth of the cab so you’ll see a larger cab corner.

the new 1500 platform does have a larger cab overall so the rear door may be a bit larger than the front. I’ve never paid it any mind so I can’t confirm

Most tuned F150's aren't turning 35"s and 108 trap speeds.

I didn't know it was exclusive to the HD trucks. When I was shopping for a new truck I looked at Dodge, but didn't care for the looks.

Surrounded by libetards.
I'm sure the truck will be a performer.... Dodge has nailed everything since the Hellcat was introduced. They had the formula from Ford and slapped a supercharged Hemi in the engine bay. I don't think they'll disappoint based on past performance...... and I bleed blue.
