Hi Gang,

I have been LOVING the hawk so far and decided to order an incognito pulley kit for it...this pulley only adds a pound or two of boost and works on the stock tune. It can give the car an additional 60-80awhp if combined with an intake and good fuel...I have a JLT intake already and i always run boostane on my 93 octane to give it 100 octane. You can def feel the difference with the boostane, i noticed it instantly on my zr1 all summer long. I know some people are on the fence with boostane but I am a bigtime believer.

Since I ordered the incognito pulley kit I have been doing some testing using the cars system and dragy. My best so far is:

3.0 is my best 0-60
11.2@121 1/4 mile time (with a 3.2 0-60 on this pass)
[email protected] 1/2 mile time (3.3 0-60 on that pass)

This thing is a riot to drive...I know on a perfect pass it would run 10.9xx with just race fuel/JLT intake and stock tune. When I was a kid growing up in the 80/90's I could have never imagined a day of 700-800hp SUV's that dam near run 10's from the factory! God Bless America! lololololol. Curious, is my 1/2 mile time decent? I will post my new times once the pulley kit is installed this week.

Its your toy, and an awesome one at that, but I will again beg you not to add boost without tuning the PCM.
I give zero shits what someone is telling you, I promise you need to tune that thing. Could care less if you went to the competitor and used HPt, I'd rather see it get tuned properly by anyone than not tuned at all. If there is some reason you are afraid of tuning it, PM me, I will make you feel better about it, lol.

No clue why this is suddenly even a 'thing'. Never heard of Lightning or 03 Cobra guys adding boost without tuning. Nobody turns up the boost on their turbo cars without tuning. Why is it OK here??? How have they managed to market this into the minds of people who KNOW its not OK, and still get them to buy it?

they claim to have sold thousands of kits no issues. Lots of hellcats running them. I guess the big deal is making sure you run 93 minimum.

google ibcognito pulley. I couldn’t find one horror story other than some people with belt slip.

But I do understand your point.

Warranty is not an issue in reality man. Show me where one of our customers ever had a warranty issue. Sure, the other guys will leave you with a big fat I TUNED MY TRUCK P1400 code, but thats not something you have to deal with if you would rather not.

I know for sure there are plenty of them out there. I'm constantly begging HC guys not to do it on the HC forums. Will it make power for a cool pull on the dyno? Yes?
Is that what 99% of the people installing it are after? Yes.
They get their Dyno sheet, post it on FB, then never go to the track, or when they do, it runs like a stock TH and they have a ton of excuses for why it wasn't faster with the pulley :) Truth, COT kicks in like 3 seconds into the run and kills the extra power while the knock sensors are going NUTS and pulling timing. Tune it :)

We can unlock your original PCM with no trace of anything having been done.

Good luck with it.

The THawk is the best daily driver I have ever owned. Also, I have similar bolt-on mods as you do, and I completely agree with Mike. First thing I did was swap out my stock PCM with a modified/tuned one.

Just the tune on a stock TH is worth about 25 rwhp over stock, you'd need a custom tune for the Pulley but you'll see consistent and safe gains of 65-80 rwhp from what I have seen once properly tuned.

Pricing options are all over the place. You want to just send your PCM for the mod its $250 for the unlock and bypass module, then you just need the tuner.
Theres also a tuner we sell that includes a pcm swap, so no downtime on the vehicle. Those start about $495.
You can also do a kit with a tuner and a new unlocked pcm, no core, and those are about $1030.
All the top Hellcat tuners use our software and offer remote email tunes for a simple combo like this.

Shoot me a PM if you want to move forward with something.

Bro, if ur not TUNED to Boostane and ur just pulleying down ur gonna MELT that motor! Mark my words! And if ur not tuned to Boostane and running it stock ur wasting $50 a bottle every time u go out cause u will need (2) bottles of Boostane to get to 100 octane.

Ur playing with fire...... Get that shit tuned! 3.0 0-60 is sick tho! Thing must be such a blast to drive on the street! Thing is absolutely dope!

If you tune it, whether you use a separate PCM or not, you WILL void your powertrain warranty. The first thing they do at the dealer is check the ECM for codes and there will be a stored code. It was rumored that if you changed out your BCM and PCM you could avoid this, but the tuners were warned by Dodge not to do this. Contact Tim Barth, Kurt Dusterhoff or HHP for more information as they are the most well know tuners in the Hellcat/Trackhawk world right now. Tim Barth is in Northern Illinois and I have had great experience with him (he uses Diablosport for tuning as well).

Not looking to argue, but this is not true. I have first hand knowledge, been deeply involved in Tuning Mopars since we invented the term 10+ years ago. There are no such codes left with our PCM mods.

Please contact your tuners Mike. There is a code that is left and my firsthand knowledge was through using your product on my car and the dealer voiding the powertrain warranty (this wasn't a surprise and I didn't fight it). To make a claim that you can tune a car, then remove it and maintain your warranty is a bit reckless. You will get a P1400 code in the BCM once the car is tuned or receives an unlocked PCM.

ArabianOak - do a little research on Hellcat.org and you will see plenty of examples that back what I am saying. It is well known that you cannot tune these cars and expect to maintain your warranty.

I have not heard of anyone breaking anything with the Incognito, and I actually have one ordered but I will have my car tuned for it along with the other mods. The Incognito seems to work for some people but the very real fear is that introducing more boost without decreasing the timing/increasing fuel in the tune is risky. Many of the people running them have not seen the gains that were claimed as their cars must have been sensing knock and pulling timing, particularly when the car or the air temp has been hot. I would have the same fear when it is cold as the car may pick up another pound of boost in the dense air. They offer two types of Incognito, with and without a crank pin kit. You may be able to try to get one by FCA by using the non-pinned kit (once you drill and pin the crank it is over, and the FCA techs are trained to look for that in the event of a engine failure). You do have to replace the crank/balancer bolt which will leave witness marks so it is still a gamble. FCA is very savvy to the modding going on with the platform and generally difficult to deal with.

Do you have a PCM we did like 3+ years ago? Nothing that has left here since then has had a P1400.

I don't want to get into the morals of the warranty thing, if you add boost and break something, its your problem, but if you need to adjust tire size or want to firm up the shifting a little it shouldn't trigger an automatic red flag, which is why we do not.

If you have a PCM we did years ago it will have the code. Not a single Trackhawk with our PCM has the code as they didn't exist until we had made that problem go away. No P1400 on our Redeye, the 16 HC in the parking lot, my 17 SP, our 19 JL, 19 Ram, or any of the 1000s of PCMs we have sent out in the past few years to customers in the field.

If the guys selling parts and making 900+ whp with their tunes and packages are properly telling you there s a chance of a code or a warranty issue up front, that makes me feel good. Its a different ball game when doing a serious build that requires tuning vs a simple tune only or bolt on tune that shouldn't be a warranty issue. But Tim doesn't write any code, he tunes cars :) He may not know or care that our PCMs haven't had the code for years as anything coming across his PC is likely not a candidate for any warranty work. He also uses our competitors stuff occasionally, so he may be making blank statements about the codes potential.

I'm not looking to sell anything here, just inform. If you have data that says otherwise, I am all ears.

Thanks

My cars ECM was unlocked by Diablosport and the tune was done 1.5 years ago. This was on a 2015 Hellcat and the dealer pulled the P1400 case immediately upon my pulling into the service area (they already knew I was modded and I didn't try to hide it). My Redeye is not yet tuned but I fully expect that when I tune it I will void the warranty. I will agree that the moral issues here are not worth debating, as I take responsibility for my actions and don't try to pull one over on individuals or companies. I included a link below that is just one of many you will find over on the Hellcat forum where a Dodge Master Tech states that the code will be stored, and that post is less than a year old. If there is a way to keep from having the P1400 code stored I would really suggest you publicize that over there as your information posted here is not something that is being discussed widely in the Hellcat world.

Good luck with your TH ArabianOak.

Diablosport back to stock
