I'm not expecting to be able to buy any 9mm for months. I decided not to buy the Ruger GP-100 that I had my eye on (357 mag) because ammo isn't available anywhere in CT (or mail order) and it would likely be months before I could even shoot it.

That's rough. We can go to the local outdoor flee market and get it. 350 rounds for $210.View attachment 1683579

That at Double Tollgate? 60 cents a round is salty but also that's about as good as you can do nowadays
that's crazy I just picked up a FNX 45 today I was in and out in about 15 min.We picked up a SIG and Barreta 9mm yesterday along with the AR-15. We were about 4,250 in line for background checks!

Concealed weapon permit? How’s that possible? It’s that national place that does the background checks. I purchased the 9mms at a different location than the AR and the waitlist was the same for my background check.

But with a cwp, there is no waiting period. Can walk in, slap the cwp on the counter and walk right out with the weaponNo, literally to take the weapons home. We can’t pick them up until our background checks go through.

Question for readers IF there is a gun ban put in place- and I think it would be an expost facto law to those who already legally bought such- would you relinquish it to feds? I believe with the number of ARs and other like configurations, if people get their back up could exceed the largest militia in the world. Our own revolution and civil war was fought over one sides ability to control all. Would you register what has already be registered? All my purchases have gone through FFL and BATF has a record somewhere. What if the feds just banned ammo and reloading equipment..Aside from putting a lot of people out of work- something they don't mind..
I've seen this gun ban thing before and Bush let it expire..But how do you stand today on such efforts being almost a certainty now. As many have turned their back on Trump- I have NO faith in the supreme court! By the way I am selling and have sold most of my collection.
Logistically there is no way for them to enforce registration/ban/taxing of existing privately owned firearms. 4473's are kept by the FFL, not entered in some database somewhere - there is no way for the federal government to currently know who owns what. Short of going door to door, not going to happen.
I predict they will go after ammo, either by attempting to ban the future sale of it or by levying massive taxes on it and requiring background check/registration at time of purchase.
