I am making more than I have in the last 4 years.
I live in the country.
I am debt free (outside of the mortgage) for the first time in my life.
I am stress free since forever.
Life is good.
My racecar is about to be faster/quicker than ever. ( this is the most important) Lol.

My son struggled with senior year of high school, he's smart af but also ADHD like a mofo and the whole remote-learning thing did him no favors. So, he didn't actually grraduate, but he will next month.

He wants an IT career but 4 year college is not in his cards ATM. I asked some IT types I drive with if they'd be interested in meeting him and talking to him about career paths, got some resounding yes's.

One of them, who runs his own IT consultancy, reached out to me a few days ago and asked if he was still interested in opportunities, I said hell yeah, put them in touch and let him take it from there. He had an interview last week, another one Monday, and he has a job as an independent contractor for them. Hasn't even graduated HS yet and is not going to be flipping burgers.

TL;DR: My son got his first paying job ever in his career field of choice and hasn't graduated HS yet.

—Starting a new job with better pay/benefits Dec 6th..also eliminates an hour commute daily
—Picked up an 01 cobra with 41K miles on it about 2 weeks ago
—sold my daily (gs350) and took the proceeds and paid cash for a beater Navigator(no more car payment, don’t need a gas saver anymore since new job is remote)
—my son just turned 2 and brings so much joy everyday

A multi national company contacted my uncle and I about an accessory we make for their product - sounds like they want sell/distribute it directly through their channels and possibly develop some additional items for it

We’re only at the NDA stage so still super early but exciting possibilities

Today is the second day in a row that I won't have to shovel my driveway and sidewalk. (Three days ago It snowed so hard I had to shovel it three times just to keep up.)

It feels like day 2 of a great holiday vacation.

Might have my big block finished in time to get everything else addressed on my car; so I can drive it on my birthday in January. If the roads are nice of course.

I was born into an upper middle class family with parents that cared about me. To date, that's the biggest break I've ever had.

This is rare and gives you a MAJOR upper hand in life as an adult. Congrats.. Im am blessed to have had the same.

My wife did not--came from broken family. We've been married for almost 22 years and she is so happy/thankful/cannot understand why. It's sad, actually when I think about her childhood.

My kids are all healthy and have 2 parents that love them more than life itself.

I’m scared to even write this as I don’t want to jinx anything but 2020 and 2021 have been fantastic years for me and my family. In 2020 I moved from MI to CO with my GF (now wife) which overall have been a positive experience (minus the ****ing liberals), still worked remote for the same company in MI. Sold my 01 Cobra and bought a 14 GT500 and my wife bought a 14 ZL1. Wife started her own business has been killing it. Its insane actually. My mom and dad’s business has also been killing it the last 2 years. Have tripled their income. We had our ceremony in July of 2021 and i just started a new job with a 68% pay increase which i still cannot believe. Overall, we are doing well. Only bad things that happen is my grandma passed and our house flooded over the summer, however we got a free remodel so that’s a wash. I’m extremely thankful right now.

I've met people from broken homes who married someone from a good home and they are just in shock and awe at how life can be so good.

I'm also lucky that my parents footed the bill for my entire collegiate education, leaving me with ZERO student loans. They are the primary reason I am moving back to NY next year...to be near them and be there for them should they need help with anything. (They are 78 and 79 years of age.)
