Yes, I have had my headlights on while testing it, in the accessory position. I dont think the car needs to be running, does it?
No the car doesnt need to be running. But the headlights need to be on in low!!!!So the issue is you dont have 12V on Red/Black #13 wire. That wire comes from what they call in the print MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH it must be in LO or PASS for red/black wire to have 12V to the fog switch. You need to find out why and test it!!!Yes, I have had my headlights on while testing it, in the accessory position. I dont think the car needs to be running, does it?

I have to get some sleep as my day starts at 3:30AM. Let me know what you find. No worries we will get this solved!!!!!!!
Do you have a electrical print for the fog light circuit for your 98 mustang? I would also check the fog light relay and check Black ground wire at G300,G102 for good ground. No dice. Only way I get any kind of illumination if if I attach the tan/red wire to the red/black. That lights up the switch, but the light just stays on on the switch. Doesn't activate the fogs either.
Using the power probe, the only wire that has any power with the headlights on is the red/black

I just sent you PM.I do not have the electrical print.
I did just take it out for a ride and noticed that my blinkers dont work, and my airbag light is on. The hazards DO work though
Hey P.J, Thank you very much for the kind words. We made some good headway in sorting this out last night, so now the job just need to be completed.... and it will.I'm 100% in this till its finished!! I want to see some foglights....lol. Whenever you need my 2 cents or some info dont hesitate. I believe your starting in the right place and I wouldnt be surprised it that's where the problem lies....C304F/C304M under center console. Happy hunting and Good luck @98 svtI wanted to update this thread for anyone that may come across it in the future and try to do this.
Short answer: You really can't
After talking with @Vinnie_B for quite some time on the phone last night, it turns out that the Escape fog light switches/buttons are not the same as the Mustang at all. The Escape switches are momentary switches, meaning they only stay hot while the button is depressed. Not sure how that works the fogs on an Escape though.
We also figured out I have a wiring issue elsewhere too, as there is no longer 12v where there should be for a fog switch.
I think I need to pull my console back out and take a look under there. Or are least start there.
Anyway, I just wanted to update this.
A BIG thanks to Vinnie. What a great guy, and just super knowledgeable. He is definitely an asset to SVTP, that's for sure.
*I am still on the hunt for an 01-04 fog switch if anyone has one for me.*
Just a question from reading .
The dash you Installed.
This had wiring already,,
And was a plug in.
Or all the wiring is 98
