Not sure why my Charge Temps are so high. I did just install a heat exchanger and Cobra Engineering adapter plate. This is a Whipple 2.9, OEM IC.

I did let the system circulate several times (car off), I don’t see any bubbles. Probably overfilled the tank a little. I didn’t perform a “burp procedure” other than just letting it circulate.

I’m running Aeroforce Interceptor gauges. I’m confused with all these PIDs.

IAT1, IAT2 we’re very close to ambient temp. Charge Air was around 135 cruising and 145ish in stop in go. If I stopped and let it sit, the charge air temp would go to the 160s (probably heat soak).

Pic is of charge air temp while cruising.

No bubbles, did see coolant around lid.

My pump IS running. When I punch the hoses under the blower, I can feel it flowing. Purple wire is the trigger for the trunk tank

Thanks!!

What PID matters? Some say IAT2, just trying to understand if I have an issue or not. There are literally no bubbles in the 5Gal trunk ice tank. I’m using a Stewart Electric Pump, Gords Fords HE, factory Intercooler.

How hot was it outside?

How hot was engine temperature

There are threads on this .

Iirc 40 degs hotter than iat1 is normal.

But 160 at idle. Thinking a very hot engine bay ,or slow flow on cooling

76* F, 65% humidity. Engine temps 193-201.

I’ve read quite a bit. Honestly, nothing seems abnormal with the system or it’s function. Probably a little too full that’s all. No bubbles, I see flow, etc.

Unless you were hammering it, that’s pretty hot.

Temps will rise and stay there for awhile if you aren’t into the throttle. You should see temps come down immediately when you get into it.

I won’t see 150/160 unless I’ve done multiple WOT 2/3/4 runs

I don’t understand what the issue could be? Air in the system? I circulated it several times, no bubbles.

No spirited driving, just cruising.

I usually see 118-125 in 75-80 ambient with light ripping.

Blast through 2nd and 3rd and I’ll see what your pic shows. Low 130s and it comes right back down.

Stock IC system other than crappy aftermarket tank sitting on top of radiator.

I must have air in the system/cavitation or it may be on its way out. I may just buy a pump (dammit) and see if that cures it.

Um, yes. All the info is here. Are you going for a record of new threads?

Not sure why the animosity. At least I’m giving you something to moderate. I’m happy to take my questions to the Facebook Group if you’d prefer that and leave this a barren waste land of information.

The search feature is great, however, it only gets most 70% towards their solution because of all the variables.

Let me know. If you want me to; delete my account.

Search function is hit and miss,

There is almost 20yrs of information on here.
Some things were lost during upgrades,,

Sometimes I use Google.
Type question than add,,, /svtperformance.com

I've read the rules briefly..
But iirc it says to use more words in title. Vs help
Which I can see would help on search for issue on a item .

On side note. It's hard to cracked a joke in words ..I'm a major ball buster face to face but all good

These guys aren't like that.

But back to topic. I think my pump is not well. I think when the water in the tank froze and busted my Intercooler, if messed up the impeller. It may be worth buying a new one (if I can find one) and swap it out, I guess I can sell or return it if it’s not the issue.
