As I've asked a number of questions on here as I got the car fixed up over the last ~14 months I figured I'd post this here. First time with the Cobra on track and first time at Waterford in general. I was very happy with how it drove. Next time I'll up the camber at both ends, but that's it.

This lap was the fastest record time, even though I did it entirely in 4th gear*. Had trouble getting clean laps as it's a small track and most of the other drivers in my group were much slower. This lap used 3rd/4th but I somewhat overshot T1 and got held up at the end by aforementioned slower drivers. Confident I have a 1:25 lap in me.

*wanted to focus entirely on the driving lines while learning the track

Looks like fun, been a long time since I saw the driver pov looking out over a yellow 01 hood. Made me miss my old 01 even more

Thanks for sharing and keep having fun

I seem unwilling to part with the car. Both for sentimental reasons and because it's still a lot of fun. Now that it's fixed up, I'm hoping to track it a decent amount going forward!

Wish I had never got rid of mine

Everytime I start my FoST I miss the roar of 4.6 mod v8 + longtubes + catless x + 3" catback

Agony grows exponentially with every downshift

Thanks for posting these vids.
I can't afford to track, but love watching vids like this. And it's not like watching millionaires play for billionaires..

The yellow color is almost as good as the green;-)

I like the sound of your exhaust, what exhaust set up are you running and what tires and size?

ahh man, LT headers is the only thing I'm missing, I'm sure that sounded amazing. Even with what I run it's an awesome sound. It's the main thing I miss when driving my M5.

Definitely not the cheapest sport but it's not terrible in this car (though it's not a Miata). Pads aren't too expensive and tire wear on 300+ treadwear tires isn't terrible either. Of course right now gas adds a lot to the expense. Your car definitely looks ready for it, I'd give it a shot at least once!

Bassani catless x-pipe with Magnaflow exhaust. Love it. Quite low on drone and relatively quiet until one gets on the gas, and then it is wonderfully loud.

Tires are Conti extremeContact Sports in 275/35r18 and 295/35r18. I'd have preferred PS4S, but no 295/35r18, which are relatively rare these days. If I end up buying a set of track wheels/tires I'll run 275 square.

You're the first to say your would go square on the tire size. I think that is right.

I have the bigger eibach sway bar, and even before that, thought 255 or 265 would be perfect on my daily driver.

Having a square setup is awesome. You can fully rotate tires all the way around, prolong their life significantly. The tires will all heat up similarly.

I think it's a great idea.
