Feels a touch unnecessary with mother thread giving the same update but I know now everyone is crawling through like 12pages of small updates and hardship lol.

I got the Cobra up to Blankenship Tuning and Lee did a great job - super professional and really happy with where it ended up. He uses a mustang dyno, but has it calibrated to be within a few% of a DJ. I'm not super concerned with the final numbers as much as the motor being healthy.

With smoothing I made:
629/601 on 93
690/645 on E85!

I also ended up making just over 21psi on a 3.25" even with longtubes too. Air density was SUPER high so I expect that it'll be more like 19-20 in more normal conditions. We talked about throwing the 3" on and cranking up the base fuel pressure, but I wanted to keep it so I could flip between 93/E85 easily.

Without the smoothing I hit 697whp on E85 and I believe it was 639whp on 93. Car absolutely rips now and honestly faster than I had expected.

E85 dyno: 93 dyno:

You can also see it breaking up a touch in the upper range so I'l check the plugs again for the gap. May tighten them up a touch to .025 or something.

The 2.9 puts in some work. My buddy put down 706rwhp with the same pulley combo and stock manifolds. He said the boost was right at 20psi when he watched it.

I make 19-20psi with mid length headers. I'm currently on pump gas and it still feels fast.

FWIW, we're both running BRE7F plugs at .028". I was running TR6's at first, but picked up some knock on 91 when I was at 18psi. Granted I was pushing the timing at 16 degrees. But I haven't had issues since switching plugs and backing it down to 13 degrees.

Nice that's all good to know. I unfortunately tried to get by on the FRPP 80lb injectors and I was running out of headroom on the E85 tune. I KNEW I should have gone a little bigger than Id have hit the 700 mark for sure.

Those are solid boost numbers for running stock manifolds too. I had only expected to be at like 19-20 max.

Nice numbers. I have a 2.9 gen 4 with a 3.0 upper, stock manifolds on e85 and I really like it.

We're both running the ID1050X injectors.

That's 1000% what I should have gone with and kicking myself a little bit for not. Original plan was to just have a quick 93 octane car but E85 is so plentiful here I couldn't help myself.

I'm sure i'll find another project that'll require me pulling the blower so I can upgrade the injectors and make it worth

Nice! What'd you end up making on the 3"? Blankenship told me that I really couldn't safely run 93 at that point and I really wanted to keep this car able to the slightly longer weekend trips and such

I’ve never had mine on a dyno, street tuned by 04sleeper. And I’ve been E85 exclusively since going ported eaton years ago.

Very cool, I wish I had just a LITTLE more availability than I have around here currently. I not so secretly wanted to put down like 730 or whatever like I could have on the 3" but my injector duty cycle wasn't great and we were going to have to crank the base fuel pressure up too

I know you're happy with those numbers, as well you should be. Maybe the 3" will fit into a future upgrade with new injectors. (y)

Don’t push it to make a number on the dyno. 700 rw is perfect for a stock engine terminator.

Thank you @CobraBob - I appreciate all the kind words and support along the way. Funny enough, I bought one of your gaskets to use - went to install it and there already was one there! haha.

My feelings exactly, I got a little hungry while at the actual tuning session but it just didn't make sense for what i'm realistically using the car for. I want it to be versatile and something I can actually log some miles in without having to tinker too much when I swap fuel, etc.

The only way I could have done it is swap the 3" pulley on, crank the base pressure for E85. Then when I wanted to run 93, i'd have to pulley back down and adjust the base pressure back to 50. No thanks.

Nice numbers! Just put on a GEN3R with a 2.8 upper only. I've got Todd Warren Cams, E85 and Longtubes. Anxious to see what it does for power. Do you know much timing the E85 was on?

That was my original plan too. I was going to spend most of the time on 91 and switch to E85 when I was going to go out with the boys. Then I did flex fuel and tuned for E85. It spends most of the time with E85 in the tank now. And I've driven it all over like this.

You know, I totally forgot to ask. As soon as I saw that almost 700 number I forgot to think rational for a bit. I emailed him to see where we ended up but will follow up when I hear back.

Well now i'm going to have to do more reading on flex fuel setups. My BMW has an on-the-fly flex setup that alters boost/timing/fueling all according to what the ethanol sensor is reading at the time. I can just swap to a mixture or straight 93 and it'll just adjust automatically.

You have to swap to a stand alone to have a full flex fuel set up. I'd enjoy your car for a bit first.

I’d leave it alone unless you re tune for an injector upgrade. I’ve been on E85 strictly since 2016 and still get the car out in Illinois in December for a last drive before it’s put away. No need to mess with the flex stuff IMO.

I have the same setup on c16. I dyno’d 640 on a slipping clutch then put a new clutch in and the car consistently traps between 137-139mph
