I agree on all points.. The Empire Strikes Back is hands down the best Star Wars movie.

Halloween II and Khan exemplify quality, sequels better than a freshman offering of said franchise(s). I'd also add Dawn of the Dead.

Aliens, perhaps. And I thought Top Gun Maverick was better than the original.

I think the original Alien my be the movie that has best withstood the test of time. It's fast approaching 50 years old and looks as good, if not better, than anything made today. Aliens is like T2, it's basically in a different genre.

Temple of Doom.

Raiders is far better, plus isn't Temple technically a pre-quel?

Terminator 2 is #1 for me for sequel

I get that, but T2 is basically in a different genre and the original. I think there's a better case to be made for it being the best sci-fi action movie of all time than the best sequel of all time.

I have no idea. Temple has heart though.

Temple is a sequel not a pre Raiders of the Ark is 1936 Temple of Doom is 1937 to real early 38 and Crusade is 1938 before Germany annexed Czechoslovakia in Sept of 1938.

As for me Batman Begins follow on with Dark Knight I say is better over the 1st movie (Begins)

Empire Strikes back is the best sequel, one of the best movies of the 80's and all time.

Growing up in the 80's I felt the sequels were just as good if not better than the original.

Empire Strikes Back
Back to the future 2
Aliens
Rambo Part 2
T2 Judgement Day

There are others, but those are the most satisfying to me.

My grandfather owned a movie theater in the small town where I grew up in Wisconsin.

I watched Empire as a kid with the reels clacking away up in the projector booth.

I was 7 years old at the time, it was my 1st Star Wars movie.

It's the best one, imo.
And the main reason I am a huge Bobba Fett fan.
