One of the first ARs I shot that belonged to a friend of mine was doing random bursts at the range. I didn't really know much of why or that it was as serious as it was, but I definitely noticed everyone on the range turn their heads in my direction before the range master walked over to come investigate.
Looking back now, and knowing the antics that now former friend got up to, he had been purposely messing with it.

It's been a long time but I think he shaved down the sear. It would fire a round, then burst, burst again, fire a single round, then burst and so on. It was firing burst more than it was firing single and it wasn't the same amounts each time.

Oof. There's a reason most actual fights aren't more than a few seconds are rarely boxing matches. Making a sport out of bareknuckle fighting is rough.
