If it’s that important, turbo/auto. Then you got it.

A ZR1 maxed out is more than a maxed GT500 blower car can handle. I’d put money on the ZR1 against 2020+ GT500.

Well 07 GT500 is lighter than 2020 and makes just as much if not more power with a 2650. Zr1 might be lighter but it doesn’t make as much power from what I can tell.

It's always making over 1250whp. That's definitely close to max effort for the street.
I mean the street might not hold 1050 with a PD combo. In regards to max effort it’s probably leaving 100+ on the table. That’s why I don’t call it “max” effort.

Partner I want you to beat this guy but he’s basically maxed a ZR1.

To compete you’d need to be stripped of every OZ, max HP, and a perfect suspension and gearing.

He’s on a way better platform and sounds like he’s past what a blower car can handle.

Bang his wife.

I really think you are under estimating GT500s with a solid combo. My car will not be a world beater but this race honestly could go either way on paper. I appreciate your input regardless.

You need to be able to run mid 8s to even have a solid race…

Are you building a 8 second GT500? Because I’ve seen quite a few make 900-1000 and struggle to even break into the 9s

My bro has a 2020 gt500, pullied down, E85 900 wheel … and got left standing still by a 2650 Zr1, it was in the final round of a modern street shootout…. HAD to be a 8.40 car or quicker

I feel like the 2020+ GT500s put down the power better than the 07 to 14 GT500s. Mostly because of the DCT, but still, a 1100rwhp 2020+ GT500 is pretty damn fast

Bro, what the **** is going on here?

You are talking shit to a dude who has a built zr1 about how you are going to beat him and.....you.....dont.....even have a car.

So, you are arguing about hypothetical engine combos, weight reduction, not to mention built driveline and tire combos. Again, this is all hypothetical.

You then will have to break it all in and test, so you are $40-50k 6 to 12 months out. So you can back up your shit talking about the car you don't have.

All of which is moot since throwing gears in a >1k whp car takes skill far beyond comparing stats on paper so be sure to add a th400 to your fantasy budget.

Hilarious.

If you plan to remain stick shift we can just end the thread here.

Have you ever driven a stick shift 1000whp car? How about a stick 600whp car?

Well would really come down to trap speed not ET. What does a 1200whp GT500 trap? What does a 1100whp zr1 trap?

Well I can drive just fine. Both cars are Are in the process of being built and shit talk goes both ways. It’s also not 40-50k lol

Let me lay it out for you

GT500
15” Hoosiers
10.5:1
Cams
Ported heads
Gen 3r
3600lbs
Stock 6060

ZR1
18” hoosiers
10:1
Cam
Heads
Kong 2650
3300lbs
Stock trans

On paper it could go either way in regards to power to weight ratio.
