I would lower my gas mileage requirements for the right vehicle. I'll look into the Lexus. Thanks! If you lower your highway mileage requirements to 19/20 a Lexus GX460 is pretty nice (we have one). The GX460 is all time 4WD and is the same vehicle as a land cruiser Prado overseas.
Okay Sid... I never thought someone would suggest a Raptor! I should have figured as much coming from you. While I like the Raptor, the wife is not a big fan of trucks. If it were just me, this would be on my short list. Thanks!Your MPG wishes may go out the window with this one, but the absolute best road trip vehicle I know of is an F-150 Raptor.
Like I told Sid, the wife just isn't into trucks. I will admit though, a truck would definitely be able to haul all of her necessities and then some! Thanks. Many many vacation trips out West. Found that any crewcab pickup is by far the most comfortable mileage devouring combo.
Great suggestion. Comfy, inexpensive, good gas mileage, I will keep this in mind. Thanks. Not gonna lie, the new Camry is nice and gets good gas mileage.
While that sounds great and I love the Wagoneers, I think I would rather have something with a warranty that I can get serviced on the road if necessary. Thanks.Restomod a Jeep Grand Wagoneer with a modern Mopar driveline and electronics.
These are really cool vehicles. Not the most sexy looking vehicle on the road mind you, but very practical. A little out of my price range though. Thanks.
Like the Benz above the Macan is a bit out of my price range. I do like the Porsche SUV's for sure. Thanks.Macan GTS (the GTS is the old Turbo model) might be a little higher than you want spend, but it would get you speed, great handling, comfortable, and my wife's Turbo gets 28 mpg.
Agreed! That will get you a base model with base level work truck comfort for $70k. Those things are crazy expensive. Built out you are looking at $125k minimum.
Definitely not loaded!I've seen a few of these on the road occupied by what looked like serious travelers. I really envy those who can do it.
Oh absolutely, but Uncle Meat is loaded.
This is another great option I need to do some more research on. Thanks for the suggestion.I prefer sedans over SUVs and picked up a Lexus ES-350 a few months ago.
As stated previously, love the Porsche SUV's, just a bit too much, Thanks.Have a customer that just bought the s model. These are nice!View attachment 1824042
Another good choice. Equipped with the V6 Ecoboost it ticks most all of the boxes. My wife's Mustang Ecoboost still runs great and it has 88,000 on the odometer. Another model to consider. Thanks. The New Explorer Timberlines are nice.
As stated previously I do like the Wagoneers. I need to spec one out and see where it falls as far as price. Thanks.Purchased a new Jeep wagoneer for my wife last year.
The Expedition is just too big for the two of us. It's a great vehicle for a large family and rides very nice. Just a bit too much for what we are looking for. Thanks.Honestly, we love our Expedition.
