This is what Ive been thinking about all morning unfortunately. These ships dont turn on a dime, plus in a waterway navigating the channel they are severely speed limited. Like generate no wake speed limited in tight waterways, cant speak for that area. That course was set for quite a distance Im sure. If the digital nav heading is altered by the time the analog compass heading AND calibrated eyeball say there is going to be a problem it will already be way too late.

Cant find it to link other than on FB stream but there's a longer clip where it shows the ship loses power, gets it back, begins a correction maneuver (too late to matter) then loses power again and hits the bridge.

According to Fox News, this cargo ship has had a choppy past.

Also, they reported that the ship DID lose all power and that a mayday was issued just before the crash.

Soooo many better ways to create an attack than somehow cracking into a massive ships 'mainframe' only to steer it into a bridge during the slowest traffic hours in Ohio...

Stupid conspiracy but AJ is fully retarded

That is kind of an important bridge in Baltimore. Traffic patterns will be f'ed up for the couple years it takes to rebuild and shipping traffic will be impacted for the coming weeks and at times until the new bridge is completed.

Between redesigning a new bridge, obtaining materials and constructing it in as short of time as possible, this is probably a couple hundred millions of dollars of expense.

No this was not a large loss of life but it does **** things up in the area for quite a while.

Attacks on infrastructure, as opposed to life, will not prompt the same level of investigation or retribution. Even still, I'm sure they will do a very deep investigation into any potential terrorism connection.

I did notice the lights on the ship all seem to shut off moments before it hit, but it looks like it was going to hit anyway

If the ship lost all power multiple times, that might explain why the course seemed to be too close to the bridge to begin with. ??
