Ballbottom jeansThose must be his balls down around his ankles there.
Those photos bring back a lot of great memories. Back in the '60s and early '70s, drag racing tracks were plentiful. Fun! Fun! Fun! We used to have a drag strip about 35 minutes from me. Small enough to be right in the middle of all the action. So much fun!
Sure do. 60s,70s lived right in the middle of that with OCIR,Lions and Irwindale close by. OCIR was my race track and spent many a saturday there. Sigh bygone era. Now all high dollar corp crap. Those photos bring back a lot of great memories. Back in the '60s and early '70s, drag racing tracks were plentiful. Fun! Fun! Fun! Hope the washing machine is on the other end. Just looks too risky.
Speaking of Lions Drag Strip, I was stationed in Long Beach and was minutes away from it (1967-1969) but never unfortunately got there. There's a great Lions Drag Strip Museum nearby in Rancho Dominguez, CA. It has an awesome life-size diorama of the original Lions Drag Strip starting line.Sure do. 60s,70s lived right in the middle of that with OCIR,Lions and Irwindale close by. I saw ZZ Top on the Eliminator tour in 83 (?). They sucked so bad that to this day I still tune off if a ZZ Top song comes on the station I am listening to.
