My wife gives me hell because I change the words up on songs and call it a remix. Usually, it involves dirty sexual shit. lol.

Stevie Nicks....generation before me but holy hell the crush I would have had on her.

This is by far IMO the greatest cover ever done.

Great story to go with that cover.

My problem is I hear some great songs (that are either somewhat depressing and/or reminiscent of a bad time) that make me want to eat one right under the chin. I enjoy quite the number of excellent tunes that are also depressing.

Sadly, music will hit you in every spectrum of emotion. Only one that gets me sad is this one. Reminds me of my Grandfather. My Grandparents were huge in life due to my parents not being the best of people or not in the picture at all. I followed in his footsteps with the Military, none of his four sons or my mother did.

I was out in the garage working on my race car about 10 years ago and was playing Land of Confusion by Genesis, and my 14 year old son came out and said, "Wow, this is a real good cover of that Disturbed song". I told him this was the original and Disturbed did the cover of it. He did not believe me until I showed him when Genesis released it. I like both versions, but am partial to the original, just like most covers. Although, I think Disturbed did a much better version of the Sound of Silence compared to the Simon and Garfunkel original.
Will not catch me listening to Rap or Hip Hop, ever. Ugh. Although I like some of Liken Parks stuff.
Almost any Grunge/Alternative, Rock/Classic Rock, some Metal and most old school Country. None of that Garth Brooks crap.
I personally think the 80's-90's stuff is the best.
A lot of the Artists in this thread I have never heard of. Lol.

Love the metal music.
80's and 90's era mostly. (THE BEST!!) Thrash metal and death metal. Some of the newer stuff is good too. As long as the vocals are good and there is groove and breakdowns,........I'm good. It's gotta be heavy, heavy though. lol

Hootie, The Cookies, Gordon Lightfoot, Buck Owens, The Playtones, Frampton, Sergio Mendes, Dean Martin, Sly, Paycheck, Spinners, Eagles, Fantastic Baggys, Dick Dale, Warner Mack, Ronstadt, Andrew’s Sisters, Doobies, BTO, Iz, Monkees, Fifth Dimension, Merle Haggard, AC/DC, Honeydogs, Gloria Estefan, etc.

All these artists have it, and at least 400 more. That’s why I have so many songs on iTunes. Love music and almost every genre.

Harry Chapin. Just about any song by him is so good it's depressing.

Turn The Page. Great song. Unfortunately, it reminds me of a terrible day which in turn makes my mind think in the wrong ways.

Songs I immediately recognize after the first two or three notes:

Pretty much any Tool song. Most notably 46&2, Ticks & Leeches, Jambi, The Pot, Vicarious. Ok, we'll just say every Tool song.

Yes - Roundabout
Any Pink Floyd song, Wish you Were Here is probably the easiest one
Any Deftones song
The Animals - House of the Rising Sun
Van Halen - Hot for Teacher
Rush - Tom Sawyer, 2112 (pretty much all Rush songs)

I could go on for days but I'm not going to go through the entire catalog

David Gilmour is absolutely one of the best guitarists ever.

Another outstanding cover back on them....

It might be my age,, but music was just so much better back when.
Heart's cover was beyond outstanding! As much as I loved the original back in the day, Heart's is my fav!

This one is on my top 3 mostly because of the guitar riff at the beginning. Love it!
