When I rebuilt the engine, I changed out to a magnum XL (connected the 2 outside the car), but didn't change the pilot bearing. The transmission was also rotated to the point I had to add spacers to the driver's side motor mount for the shifter to fit through the hole. I'm not sure which...
the clutch is good if it holds max torque in a higher gear. Since you can feel it in the pedal it's something in or attached to that pressure line. I'm wondering if the throw out bearing is sticking or the clutch has worn enough for the throw out bearing to not be in touch with the fingers...
I saw the fires out the window. I thought it was just a bunch of dirt kicked up by the wind that day. Then I heard there was a fire in it somewhere, then I heard it was all smoke. Pre-evacuation warnings were a couple streets from me.
There were Wyoming levels of wind that day.
.63 and 4.29 diff gears. Still not so bad at 80.
Look into the magnus clutch valve. Hook it up to the 2 step or a couple of throttle switches. Hopefully your clutch will give out before your trans.
I haven't had the money to do much recently so haven't tried this, but it sounds like a good...
What has everyone settled on for a good street strip suspension (spring/damper combo) that doesn't bottom out on every road dip? Everything I've seen is a few years old and people are still working it out...I haven't seen where they decided. Anything decided is for street/twisties.
Parts I...
Quick question, BJ, if you don't mind. Does the ECU see the added meth (via o2 sensors) and pull fuel to keep the tuner dictated A/F ratio? If so, I should be able to use STFTs to dial in the right size of nozzle (after I get a handle on meth pressure).
Am I thinking correctly here?
Thanks
So that's why they say you can have the tuner add a little timing at higher altitude before the cam really kicks in to get rid of the turbo lag feel...It pulls a bunch of timing at the hit. It still spins tires too easily so it's not that bothersome.
BJ, What do you think about throttle...
Thanks BJ.
Wish there were free online courses for what the ECU is doing. Not so I can tune it myself, but so I can troubleshoot without having to disturb the tuner until I know it's the tune's problem.
I just found this thread, but at first glance:
Air bubbles: find a way to put a hand valve at the high point, or even just splice a nipple in and slide a screwdriver in to allow the air out.
Hoses can be necked down slightly for a short distance. basically you lose 'hydraulic head' every inch...
I'm an original owner. Upgraded pretty much the entire power train.
I should have just kept my 2010 and put a kaase boss 9 in it. Less expensive, a lot less for insurance, would still have all the power, the engine would have cost just as much.
More wow factor on start up and when lifting...
Just get rid of that stupid aluminum oil cooler and do a remote filter setup. There are better coolers out there anyway that don't use engine coolant to cool oil.
Watch that metal heater hose bracket thing on the back of the engine when putting it in. Took me forever to realize that's what...
