I'll have to check into the Brembo seal conditioning fluid. Yeah, bled both sides of the calipers. I'm wondering if the ABS module has air in it & needs bled?
I just rebuilt the front Brembo's on my 2012 Boss (new seals/dust boots). I didn't split them in half, just cleaned them & installed the seals, lubed the pistons with brake fluid & reinstalled them in the calipers then put the calipers back on the Boss. I bled them then hit the brakes &...
The NT01's need replaced on my 2012 Boss...before I buy a new set, anyone use a track tire that performs better? I've only used the NT01's, & I don't have any real complaints about them, just wondering what else is good out there.
So I jacked up the Boss tonight, started it up & found the coolant leak...at the oil cooler. It looks like from the top metal tube the inserts into the cooler. This happen to anyone else's oil cooler???
Now I'm obviously not asking for a technical diagnosis, but wondering if this happened to any other Boss owner. It threw that code & literally shut everything down in the car including the power steering. I did notice some coolant leakage from around the oil filter as well after it threw the...
Thanks KBBoss302! I crawled under & took another look. It looks like if I put the back half of the passenger side onto the drivers side, in order for it to fit over that nut head the axle tube won't be at the 9 o'clock position bit more like an 8 o'clock position. Was this the same for you as well?
Question for you Fays2 guys. I'm be installing it on my 2012 Boss 302 & the instructions say about positioning the passenger side tube mount around the axle tube breather. Well....since the breather nut is on the drivers side & not the passenger side on the Boss, did you guys swap the back piece...
UPDATED AGAIN: the intake & CAI are both sold, the throttle body is still for sale & price is reduced.
I recently upgraded the top end of the engine in my 2012 Boss 302 LS, so I don't need these anymore. All prices included shipping in the continental US. If I don't answer messages quickly, I...
I'll have to give those methods a try. I went ahead & ordered the VMP 67mm throttle body though to get the Boss running. It just bugs me that we have to do work like that on the monojet when the thing already costs $600...it should work out of the box! Thanks for the responses, it'll give me...
so I just swapped the cobra jet intake, monoblade throttle body, & Ford Racing CAI kit onto my 2012 Boss. one thing that I didn't have to do was repin the harness, it already had the correct connector installed. Not sure if that's because the previous owner installed the 90mm Ford Racing...
you'll have a great time on the track in the Boss! My first year of running I didn't really put any mods on, just ran it stock to get the feel for the track & the Boss. you've done the easiest mods: dot4 fluid & pads. I would definitely get tires/wheels next. I installed the Ford Racing Boss...
Nice ride!! I just picked up a Challenger T/A 392 because I can actually fit baby seats in the back so I can take the kids to cruise-in's & such. Good choice my friend!
that was the thing, I have two baby seats & I want my son & daughter to be involved in the hobby & the Challenger is really the best option comfort/room wise.
You can't go wrong with one of the Challengers. I mean, they're not a track car if you plan on wanting to drive it on the track like a...
It's definitely not a track car like the Boss, it's heavier & just bigger overall. Dodge really nailed it on the styling though, with the T/A stripes & black out treatment of the hood/roof/trunk. Front seats have T/A embroidered in them too. Has the Hellcat brakes & suspension but just not the...
Picked her up last nite from the dealer, 2017 Challenger T/A 392 with a 6-speed. Perfect car to take the kiddos to the local car cruises this summer :)
I gotta ask...what didn't you like about the BMR kit? I've read that it's heavier than the Cortex unit but was wondering what your experience with it was like.
yeah...I decided to stick with them. I'm going to upgrade the pads & rotors. instead of getting the GT500 brake kit, I'm going to get a Watts Link system instead. I'm just trying to decide between the Cortex kit or the BMR kit.
I have them on my 2012 LS and am very satisfied. I run the stock LS wheels when driving around town & switch to 18x9 & 18x10's when I take it to the track & the springs perform well.
