I bought a 3” Borla S type cat back and already had SW headers (factory connect)
The Borla cat back came with 3” adapters that I thought I can switch out with the SW factory adapters.
It turns out that the borla 3” adapters will not slip on togetherwith the SW headers as they are the same...
so I installed the 4c converter and got it tuned by Lund, but I’m experiencing “slip” at high rpms. Like it climbs rpms and at 6k it stays their for a bit like I’m loosing traction which I’m not. What’s the deal?
I’m trying to see if it’s anything mechanical.
I finally got headers and a 4c converter installed and went to Irwindale yesterday. Ended up with a very low 1.6ft and got 7.35 at the 1/8th doing 95mph
Yeah I get 1.9 60ft. Since I’m automatic I would need to change the converter and get a higher stall. But I don’t want to do that until I really figure out what route I want to go with (roots or centrifugal super charger)
Sorry forgot to mention that I have 305/45/17 et street R. I don’t have problems with traction what so ever. My friend ran a 7.9 with just an intake no e85 and other than that we have the exact same car. Maybe I need to send in a revision to lund to check it out because I just got the tune and...
so I went yesterday with my 17 GT auto (3.15 gears) and I was hoping to get a better time with theses mods
Lund flex fuel (was running e85)
Pmas (tune required)
Roush x Pipe & axel backs
I was getting 7.9’s consistently
Does that sound right?
Before that I was doing 8.25 stock.
Before I go through with purchasing my $6k nitrous direct port kit. I need some expert help and advice.
My goal is to run a 200 direct port shot on a stock 17 coyote. I know their would be supporting mods to run this safely. (Besides building the motor)
So with a progressive controller (Ramp...
