I apologize this thread has been dead for so long. I changed career paths and the cobra got pushed to the side. The modded intercooler I purchased and installed ended up being completely clogged...I just ordered a VMP intercooler and will be installing it as soon as it arrives in the next few...
I apologize if this has been covered several times before. I have read through a ton of threads and I am just looking for a solid answer. What is the correct way to delete the pcv system in our cars. This is the last time the whipple will be off for a long time. VMP intercooler is going in and I...
I finally got the chance to install my tank from Greg Jones. I am very happy with the quality. The filler cap is billet with a nice thick sealing gasket. All of his welds are perfect and he included a nice drain plug on the bottom. There is a large grate over the exit for holding ice as well as...
This weekend I ran my car at a local dyno event. It made 570hp on 16psi. Whipple gen 1 2.3 on 16psi with 60lb injectors and a boost a pump. FPDC is around 85%. Does my afr look ok? Green is first run and red is last. 12.0 seems a bit lean to me. The reading was from the tail pipe not an afr...
Mounting the gt500 pump is not a direct bolt on. I bought the ford racing pump kit that includes the bracket and harness. You will need to cut off your factory I/C pump plug, splice in the new harness and cut off one small tab on the 13/14 pump bracket. I removed the factory pump bracket and the...
I would think yes judging by my results, however I didnt try the gt500 pump with the 03 afco heat exchanger. The proven combo is a large pump, large heat exchanger, flow modded intercooler and a trunk tank. I have no desire to do a trunk tank.
I have heard that as well. I hope by upgrading to the larger tank it will help. Greg's tank has a deflector inside that helps shoot the coolant away from the outlet in the tank.
I am writing this post to help others out with good data to help lower their iat2's. Yes yes I know it gets talked about all the time...however it seems that most threads that start with good info never end up producing temp results. I do realize the best setup is trunk tank, huge heat...
I can't seem to find much on this. What banjo bolts are required with the ats swap? The banjo bolts that came with my stainless steel brake lines do not work. It appears the brembo's use a fine thread vs the cobra coarse thread. Anyone know what size?
Yes it has the sight glass. I have not been able to verify the date. Does anyone know how read the date code? I'm 99% sure it's original but I don't exactly know what they look like. It has the raised motorctaft letters on the sides.
