You will want to do a compression and leak down test on it. Pull out a few of the spark plugs and see if they are soaked in oil. I suspect some internal damage here. You can pick up a compression tester at Harbor Freight for cheap and its really easy to do on these cars. Good luck.
I have a set of OEM "Powered by Ford" coil covers. These came from the factory on the Ford GT. They have been powered coated in bright red with a clear coat. Perfect condition. $350 + shipping and paypal fees. PM if interested. Thx.
A 94 GT convertible sold at Barret Jackson for 30k. A 96 Cobra (Pace Car) edition sold for 18k as well at BJ. Granted the 94 was a wrapper car, but still values are creeping up. I could of bought a very nice Fox body GT for a few grand in the early 2000s. Now that same car is worth 10k.

If you are on a budget, maybe do the forged + Water/Meth injection...keeping everything else the same. I never liked the Kenne Bell kit on stock bottom end Cobras. Just about everyone I knew that ran this combo a year later was looking to do a rebuild. Build the bottom end, and add some meth...
Here is the Lincoln PS fluid bracket I mentioned earlier. When you do the cop conversion, this also helps clean up the engine bay, as the 96-98 PS Fluid bracket has provisions for the coil pack.
Will take a photo tonight and will post here. I think seeing what I'm talking about will help explain the differences with the power steering fluid bracket(98 Cobra vs. Lincoln mod).
Honestly not sure yet. My tuner is super busy right now, and has no time until winter. But the car doesn't leave my garage unless its dry and sunny :) Which is why I was wondering if this is something that can be done remotely, and if my original tuner is even needed to perform such tweaks to...
Does anyone know how difficult it is to change in a custom tune the start up pulse width for bigger injectors? Is this something that is time consuming, and is it possible to do this remotely? Thanks in advance.
Yes, since doing away with the coil packs, you no longer need the bracket to hold them. Cleaner look.
Last dyno I put down 510RWHP, and no issues with spark. My tuner, Dave Guy never once mentioned an issue.
It's been many years since making the switch, so hard to remember, but would say a few hours since I also did the Lincoln bracket mod at the same time.
Totally agree. You already have a Meth setup, so sell the Kenne Bell oven toaster and pick up a Vortech. My first setup put down 450 rwhp on a very conservative tune and 3.6 pulley. When I stepped up to the 3.33 pulley, the car put down 500 RWHP. Recently upgraded my fuel pump, and went for...
