2004 Upgraded Cobra Coupe **PRICE REDUCED**
** Please note - This car is now being sold on consignment by my friend Gil Castiano (650 -533-8132). Because I am traveling and hard to get a hold of, he's helping me out.**
I'm selling my 2004 Cobra Coupe with 31621 miles. I'm the original...
I am taking it in to the dealer for waranty (hopefully), but wanted to see what you guys think.
When at a stand still, you can oscilate the steering wheel back and forth with very slight pressure...seems like it is moving too much.
And when driving, because there is too much play, it leads...
I decided to finally try auto cross. I am going to try American Auto-X on 2/25. It is a series here in CA that is geared towards American Iron...bigger course.

My new friends at Maier Racing are going to help me get confortable on my first day, so I will tell you how...
What do you think of these SFC's? I am having these welded on tomorrow.
They are from Maier Racing, and they come powdercoated.
You can find an interesting story of the design characteristics on their website, but you have to dig around a little to find it.

After 1 year and 25K miles, I finally had my suspension done. Maier Racing hooked me up with Maier custom springs in the front and MM coil-over conversion in the back. They took their time and it came out great. I did a 7/8 inch drop...no more brake dive and awesome cornering.
The cool...
What did some of you do with your stock exhaust after adding a catback. Mine came off the car at 700 miles and have been taking space in my garage for a year. Has anyone been able to sell theirs?

I have AFS 18x9 and 18x10.5 and have tried Kumho and KDW's in 275/35 fr and 295/35 rr, but now I want to try DS-D3...so I ordered them in 265/35 and 285/35. Are they going to be too small for my rims. I am not too worried about the fronts as I hear 265 may give me quicker turn-ins, but I am...
Guys,
How common is the differential oil leak. I was under the car last week and I noticed an accumilation of oil right at the seam of the diff cover.
Should I just take it in for waranty.

The transmission drain bolt comes coated with a thick orange "thread locker" type substance. Not knowing there there is no stop, I threaded it in to far for my first change, so now that I need to change again, I think there is not enough "unused" portion of the substance.
Can I apply and dry...
Has anyone actually weighed the stock chrome wheels?
I am finding mixed info...Tirerack says the machined finished is 25 lbs, and the Fordracing website shows the machined finished to be 30 lbs and the chrome to be 35 lbs (and other types of Ford chrome wheels on the same website is around 25...
I finally broke down and got a pulley, I thought I would be content without it...but you know how these things go.
So I went with Riechard 3.0 Non-slip (no idler, Gates Napa 74.5, NGK TR6 w/ .035 gap, and custom dyno SCT tune).
Jim R at RR has all kind of sizes, even half sizes, that's how I...

Need some advice...here is the scenerio.
Wanting to see how fast it is, I tried to redline 1st and 2nd on the road several times. Not wanting to abuse the rear end, I would stay in first up to about 10-15 mph, then floor it. The problem is, at WOT, it grips good until about 3500-4000rpm when...
Can someone describe what wheelhop feels or sounds like in more detail?
I tried rolling off the stoplight and then punched 1st gear, and it spun through most of 1st gear, especially through the middle of the rpm range where the torque curve is huge. It felt like between intermitment to full...
Just kidding...dyno does show 425 hp SAE, but it was a spike at the end. But I got huge gains from a SCT custom dyno tune with just a K&N and Magnaflow Cat-back.
I need to brag alittle about my tuner...Ray at Dyno Labs is awesome...courtious to work with, very knowlegable, and keeps an...
What tire pressure is a good compromise between performance and good wear for a stock F1. Per the manual, I have been running 32 lbs, but it looks like others on this forum are running 26 lbs...is that true?

How risky is it for you name to be on the rooster for autocross event and track days (especially ones put on by SVT clubs). What I mean is, does Ford look at those lists and say...hmm, your car has been on the track?
