2004 Upgraded Cobra Coupe **PRICE REDUCED**

** Please note - This car is now being sold on consignment by my friend Gil Castiano (650 -533-8132). Because I am traveling and hard to get a hold of, he's helping me out.**

I'm selling my 2004 Cobra Coupe with 31621 miles. I'm the original owner since new. I ordered this car and waited months for it to arrive - and then paid full price. It's a beautiful car that I need to sell because I just bought a larger 4 door suv for the family. So - I'm offering my prized Cobra for sale. I have a loan with Ford Motor Credit that will need to be paid off in order to get the title. So if you are interested in my car, I hope this will be ok.

Upgrade details:

I have every receipt for all the components and labor. Everything on this list is included with the car. I also have a few more pieces such as the complete stock exhaust, the stock supercharger pulley, belt, and protective shroud, original platinum plugs, stock air intake. I NO LONGER HAVE THE STOCK RIMS AND TIRES.

1. Short throw shifter kit – after careful consideration I chose to go with this innovative product from MGW. Mine is the prototype version with 2 handles (red cruiser handle and blue race handle). http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_shifter.shtml

2. I also changed out the shifter knob with the race composite from MGW. http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_race_knob.shtml

3. Cat-back exhaust from Magnaflow. Magnaflow has been recently known for the best bang for the buck. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=American&id=279

4. Filter charger kit from K & N. http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=57-2545

5. Supercharger pulley – I decided on Reichard Racing non-slip 3.0 pulley. 3.0 is a nice compromise between race and street reliability. Installed by Apex Motorsports. http://www.reichardracing.com/ultra_grip_pulley.php

6. Konig rims from Maximum Motorsports – chose for light weight. http://www.maximummotorsports.com The links don’t work, so you have to follow these menus Store :: Wheels :: Konig Wheels :: Konig Villain Wheel, 17" x 9", 5 lug, 6" backspacing I NO LONGER HAVE THE STOCK RIMS AND TIRES.

7. Tires – Kumho – great cornering grip. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=ECSTA+MX

8. Rear coil-over kit from Maximum Motorsports, allows more grip as well as fully adjustable height, again follow the menus as the page is not linkable. Installed by Maier Racing http://www.maximummotorsports.com
Store :: Rear Suspension :: IRS-Specific Parts :: Coil-Over Kits :: Coil-Over Kit with Springs, Rear, Bilstein Shocks, IRS

9. Custom length front springs by Maier Racing, please visit this website and follow these menus. Installed by Maier Racing http://www.maierracing.com catalog, late model, suspension, coil springs, and pick the 650 ones.

10. Subframe connectors from Maier Racing. Installed by Maier Racing http://www.maierracing.com/ follow catalog, late model, suspension, subframe connectors, and pick the ones for 2004. Those holes are not for bolt-on, they are for plugs welds…the best kind.

11. IRS brace by BilletFlow, brand new, never installed. http://www.billetflow.com/irs_brace.htm

12. Door sill trim from Ford Accessories

13.Cobra emblem mats from Ford Accessories

14. Hood vent mod to allow for true airflow

15. Micro Max Flash tuner by Superchips. 5 hour Dyno tune performed by Ray Razon formerly of Dynolabs in San Ramon, CA http://www.superchips.com/product.phtml?p=12&mmk=1234&msg=%2B

16. Spark plugs – NGK TR6, the platinum plugs were swapped with these for the performance advantage of copper, gapped to .35.

17. Oil changes using Ford filter and 5w30 Full Synthetic Mobil 1 after break-in.

18. Manual transmission fluid changed to full synthetic Mobil 1.

19. Carpet around acceleration pedal trimmed away so to eliminate chance of throttle sticking on carpet.

20. Professional tint on all windows except windshield.

This car has never been raced or dragged. It has been garaged and the miles are result of 80% highway miles. Engine was warmed up at every start.

Suspension note: Mike Maier of Maier Racing did the suspension upgrades. Mike is a multi-time Auto X champion. Maier Racing has a K&N sponsored car in Trans Am racing.

Custom Tune note: Although Ray Razon has since moved on to do other things, he custom tuned this car with a “safe” tune at his shop, Dynolabs. He disabled traction control, so as to save you the nuisance of always having to turn it off.

Thanks for considering my car...Dave L.

I decided to finally try auto cross. I am going to try American Auto-X on 2/25. It is a series here in CA that is geared towards American Iron...bigger course.

My new friends at Maier Racing are going to help me get confortable on my first day, so I will tell you how it goes.

Any advice?...I am familiar with racing lines, due to my motorcycle track day habit, but I have not had a chance to drive a car at 100% limit.

Dave
