I bought The 04Sleeper from Kevin Dunn almost 12 years ago now…time flies when you’re having fun! This is one great terminator that has garnered many accolades, including 5.0 magazine and Car Craft articles…a real gem. It turns heads every single time I take her out. Batting 1.000 in car...
I did not go, but my friend did and he sent me some pics on my phone of this car on Friday....it ran across the auction Saturday and apparently sold. For how much, I do not know. Here's the listing if anyone has an account there, not sure if they publish the sold price or not...
Got my garage 99% done....only have the trim boards left. This was a fun project, epoxy floor paint, walls painted, 4000k led recessed lights....really makes a nice resting spot for the cobra now
before:
wall paint:
can lights:
epoxy floor:
crack repair/etch
first coat paint...
I picked a couple of these up several months ago before my car went into storage, so I never got a chance to try them until recently once I got the car back. This car's paint was already well maintained, good oem '04 torch red paint with typical orange peel... but I thought I'd give these a try...
This was at Royal Purple Raceway Houston this past Friday night.

Ok, I did it. The process itself was a breeze took no more than 15 minutes. Idled the car down until the low fuel light came on, swapped the 2.6" RR pulley for the 3.0", used the exact same factory sized belt (thanks whipple tensioner…zero belt slip), and poured in 7 gallons 93. Loaded up the...
Well I'm moving and contemplating back n forth on driving the terminator or hauling it…have a few more weeks to decide. I'm trying to research how this will work…especially with how wide the tires are (305/35/18 rear, 275/35/18 front) and with how low the vehicle is front lip to exhaust. The...
I really like this orange crush. I picked up a 30ml sample a few days ago to try and I'm impressed with the shine. Underneath its fully corrected with woflgang deep gloss 3.0 as the sealant, then there is one coat of pinnacle souveran from a few weeks ago and the car has just been sitting in...
Was reading about this on another detailer forum and was wondering how safe it was? Seems a little scary....but most were recommending diluting with distilled water and use in a spray bottle. Says it helps remove old residual waxes or sealants and also exposes any swirls left over from your...
I had about 1.5 gallons in a 5gal container inside my non-climate controlled garage since April 17th. We see anywhere from 100+ deg in summer with massive humidity...to mid 30s in winter. It tested 85% on 4-17....I decided to finally retest today.
I got my new r888s a couple of weeks ago and I've got to say its a pretty badass tire, hooking far better than I imagined it would for a 100 tread rating. These are 305/35/18s on an 18x11 rim.
ok, as some of you know I was very fortunate to be the buyer of The 04sleeper car almost 2.5 years ago. I have made no setup changes at all to how Kevin had built it in 2009. Its the factory original motor, 2.3 whipple, full returnless fuel system, 2.6" upper pulley/factory lower, manifolds...
I datalogged a pretty froggy 3-4 6500rpm run the other night (closed course of course). Unfortunately the sct datalog stops tracking vehicle speed at 127.50 somewhere around 6000 in 4th? I have stock t56 gearing and a 26.5" tall rear tire on 18" rims
I ran the car to redline in 4th, I...
I'm helping my bro-in-law switch his '02 harley over to E85. Trying to piece together the fuel system. He's keeping the eaton, going with a 4lb metco lower for a 93 tune and an 8lb lower for the E85 tune. Keeping the factory upper. Going to run FMS 80lb inj, BAP, mafia, and whatever intank...
now this car has been setup for E85 since the day I bought it (this is Kevin's old car...the 04sleeper). To make a long story short, due to availability and other non car related issues.... I finally got around to swapping the pulley (2.6 from a 3.0 93 tune) and dropping in the 22psi e85 tune...
I'm hoping this isn't a repost, I did a quick search and didn't see anything here....but I was walking by the magazine rack at the grocery store and took a look at the September 2011 5.0 magazine and low and behold there's a great article on the car. Starts on pg 88 and runs a few pages...
I'm the proud new owner of the 04sleeper car. Everyone probably already knows about this car, so I won't go on and on about what it has. The only thing I've changed are the rims/rotors. Its a thrill to drive, really enjoying the car. I even enjoy cleaning her. Hats of to 04sleeper for...
my factory idler down by the crank pulley split and shredded the belt. i was about 2 blocks from home and limped her into the garage. i would really like to replace these things ONE time, so i'm looking at either the metco dual or billetflow. if you have another choice that you like, let us...
AP says feds expected to OK more ethanol in gasoline | Richmond Times-Dispatch
obama and his cronies are close to signing the new 15% ethanol into law. My question is.....wasn't 10% bad enough? What is this going to do to our motors designed to run on something different? I know some...
