Not 100% sure yet. Was going to use in my Fox but that car needs a whole ground up build. I have two 04s, a twin turbo/auto and this one. If I do it, it will definitely need a 3.0 Whipple.
Thanks so much for the window sticker 13COBRA, much appreciated!
lol I know, current seller has had it a year and a half. He just took to the dealer to have it serviced and another fresh oil change yesterday. I was a little leery of why as well but we talked in length about oil consumption...
I know I shouldn’t care, I’m just kicking myself in the but for not buying a 2019 R off the showroom I test drove back in Dec of ‘19 for less. I feel I still got a decent deal. It’s the game we play. Same situation with the Terminators now too.
I finally kept my 5th Terminator, I’d sell one...
Hello everyone, new GT350 owner but long time member. Been doing the SN95 and Terminator thing for a while.
**Edited because I realized how much incoherent rambling I did before coffee lol.
Looking to see if anyone can help verify what all options came on this car? I haven’t been able to...
Blow by is your rings, more than likely ring gaps. Personally, I feel the ring manufactures gap specs are on the loose side, I start with their specs and drop down a couple thousands. Put a vented catch can in.
compression tests look normal. There’s too many variables that affect tests...
21 Mustangs. Bought my first Mustang (85 GT) in 1992 in high school. Since then, I have only gone 6 months without owning one. The cars with wife/son/daughter were still technically mine, in my name and I built them so claiming them lol.
Past:
1985 GT - My first! BBF/C-6 swapped
1983 GT
1989...
You’d want the MAF in the larger tube so you can extend the range as said above. You can put the transition coupler right off the intercooler, in the fender or anywhere in between. The old HP twin kits had the larger tube just in the 8-12” section where the MAF was and ran fine but...
Looks like a well put together motor. ARP everywhere, cam bolts, studded, etc. I would put the $400+ for a new timing set elsewhere, there’s nothing wrong with what you have except those plastic primary tensioners. I’d put the iron ones back in. You can get them from Rock Auto for about $70...
Congrats on the golden ticket! That’s pretty awesome.
which island you on? If on Oahu like me you’ll never be able to use a bigger blower, The 2.3 will be plenty. If you need any help message me.
Yes it matters which wires go to which. Between what’s posted above and this it should be straight forward if your 6 wire plug came with color coded wires. Mine came with all green wires and had to use the pic above.
The argument on how much these motors can take is subjective. I don’t argue that they cant make good power, Hail Mary dyno runs happen often. For me, “taking” the power is about sustainment. Like you said, if you’re not using it often...I’m sure it’ll last a while.
Yeah I think I was...
You relocate the IAT post blower? 200 IAT is HOT and will more than likely never see that if it’s still pre blower. If post blower you should be pulling timing in the 150-165 range.
Rods will be fine but the factory ring gap is tight and factory piston top ring land is thin. He’ll break a...
I don’t think anyone here is going to be able to give you insight on what it will take to get your parts cleaned up, machined and ready for use. You need to take the parts in and have them assessed. Rust in cylinders could need just a hone or could be bad enough to need sleeves or anything in...
I’m running Manley Platinum Series that is a 2618 piston with skirt coating. Also in a .020 Teksid. They call for .003 clearance which is built into the piston so you can final bore at 3.572. The car sees a minimum of 18 psi. and up to 24 psi so far. At your boost level, if it’s a well...
I paid $10K for a 30K mile 97 with a Vortech T-trim and a few other nice mods. But that was 5 years ago. But you could also pick up a mildly modded 50-60K mile Terminator for $15-17K then too. Now you can’t find a nice Terminator below $20K. I believe as the cost of Terminators go up, so do...
Sounds like the controller got wired into the wrong side of the inertia switch.
Looking at the logs it doesn’t look like the rail pressure goes up at all. Look at the boost reference line on the regulator. If the line is bad or leaking under boost it won’t keep up with the 1:1 demand. Even...
- With the GT500 windage tray make sure you got the main studs For without windage tray. Just the one longer stud for the pickup tube.
- The Ford GT/GT500 lash adjustEars are different for intake and exhaust. Can’t remember which ones are the same for 4.6 4V, just make sure you order 32 of...
Yep pretty sure I understand how a fuel system works. Built my fair share of every style. You realize a dampener is intended to dampen high pressures or pulses? Since when is a lean spike caused by high pulse of fuel?
Your theory would be correct if the system was static and nothing was...
