Too bad it was wet and the F1 cars from today are nothing like the almost 1000hp V10 monsters from years ago. Still a good video.

Found another older video, I think it runs the quarter in around 8 seconds.

In one of my old Road and Tracks they tested the 2004 Jaguar F1 car. It did the quarter mile in 9.6 @ 189 mph

to be fair, they really didn't choose a comparable LMP car. that pescarolo from 2006 and isn't a major manufacturer funded car(I.E., it's pretty slow). a 2009-2010 audi R15 or peugot 908 would be much more comparable. probably not faster, but much closer than the pescarolo.

but that's a badass video none the less! it's insane to think that it took the [heavy]porsche panamera ~40 seconds compared to the ~13 seconds of the F1!

Swap the Renault w/ Red Bull, Mclaren or
Ferrari chassis .... I bet you would be over 1sec faster

Cars driving toward the camera in the rain is a really cool shot. Like warriors emerging from a battle.

Renault is one of the leaders in F1, no way Ferrari could beat it by 1sec to 300kmh just like that... Maybe a pos Williams lol.

It can't, and that was the whole point of the video. What is considered to be pretty much one of the quickest, street-legal production-car in the world doesn't stand a chance against an F1 car. Its AWD gave it an advantage, and even so, it was nowhere near the F1 car.

Did anybody notice how the 100kmh - 200kmh sprint only took 2.7 seconds? Unreal  I'd give anything to drive one of those cars.
