Final pics of the 00 R vortech V7 project, now it is off to the dyno to see what kind of power it will make

Car made 421rwhp naturally aspirated, stock motor with bassani exhaust, long tubes and a lightning maf.

will try and tune returnless 1st, if unable to maintain fuel pressure will switch to return style, hence the regulator and extra fuel line present in the pic, needed to upgrade the stock 5/16 fuel line anyway, so left it in place for a return line and ran an additional #8 line for the supply(will simply adjust the regulator to max setting so that no fuel is dumped into the return line) hopefully we should be able to keep the returnless setup

Anyone care to guess what it should do with the V7?
will have a pump gas tune and a race gas tune

    vortech v7 / 20lbs boost
    paxton A/A intercooler
    dual fpdms with GT pumps
    upgraded fuel line
    80lb injectors
    sct ba3000 maf

You beat me to the adjective! WOW Ridiculous!
For a not fair comparison I gained over 210RWHP with 13lbs of Boost running out of fuel at 5700, you'll put down over 700 with pump, report back your results:D Do you have any pics of the intercooler/piping with the front bumper off?

Hey with the compression ratio of that 00r motor I would go e85 or race gas all the time. I dont think 20lb with that cr is going to work on pump gas. On 20lbs I would guess 800+ easy but you will need some good gas. You are going to have bob k tune it right? 20lbs is just starting to working that blower like it is just out for a jog! lol I cant wait to see what it dose! That car is going to be sick as hell for sure!!!!

how accessible is E85 in Georgia? If you dont drive the car on the streets you could easily do just race gas 24/7

Is it just me or does that intake look different than other 00R intakes?

personally I am not a fan- kind of a cluster in your bay it looks like to me. plus all the bends you have in your inlet pipes are killers. and I'll pleas ignorance here but can the cobra R stock bottom ends handle 20 psi at that compression? didn't know everything was forged like that.

Yea it looks different than any I have seen, but maybe it is an aftermarket one of some type.

    It's actually a Prototype 00 Cobra R intake.

My neighbors R does 11.3 at 120 with a solid axle, 4.30s, intake, tune, and exhaust. This car is going to fly!

The Cobra R stock bottom is forged and can handle pretty much anything he can throw at it. The compression is 9.85.1, so its perfect for boost from a centri.

I would agree that it looks like a cluster,

However, for strapping on a blower to a Cobra R!!! Much better than keeping it in a garage and never driving it!

cluster? yes it is...very tight, the extra thickness of the r radiator plus the size of the v7 compressor made this a very challenging project to say the least. lots of bends in the discharge piping, but it is under pressure, so should not be a real issue.

Sure hope I don't have to change a belt on this thing anytime soon...lol

All 300 engines in these cars were actually hand built at Ford's prototype-only facility, Engine Manufacturing Development Operations (EMDO). and would later be the base design for the ford GT super car. The bottom end has a forged steel navi crank, carillo rods and forged mahle flattop pistons, should handle 20lbs with no issues.

Because of the brake cooling ducts, I went with the paxton intercooler, it slides in from the bottom without taking the bumper off, the ducts exit from the back (see pics), only issue is the ground clearance on the front is a bit tight, also the intercooler also has alot of surface area with minimal pressure loss.

that's awesome that their built like that. your bends will hurt you though- FI or not, straigher pipes flow more, but I do understand your space constrictions and not wanting to cut up too much-lol
