01 cobra trunk on an 04?

I like the no spoiler look on mustangs. since my 04 cobra has the lip, i was interested in taking it off, but wouldnt be able to without having the extra hole for the 3rd brake light. has anyone taken that off or used a trunk lid off a GT or an older cobra?

They are all the same decklid. They all have the hole for the third brake light.

on the 01 cobras the 3rd brake light is on the trunk. on our cars, its on the lip/spoiler. its just an idea.

03/04 cobras also have the hole for the 3rd brake light under the spoiler.
