03 Cobra differential pin

I am installing an 03 cobra differential in my 96 with 4.30 gears, but the differential pin that came with the new unit wont fit. I've heard that a special pin is needed when installing 4.30 and up gears.


Anyone have any experience with this?

It has to have a notch put in it or you can buy already notched out.

If you do a google search for 8.8 ford notched cross pin, you'll get a lot of places to buy from. Summit racing carries them too....
