I test drove a 03 cobra today and noticed how difficult it was to shift the gears. In my mach it's really easy to row them gears. Is the cobra shifter that hard to shift? I was going to trade my Mach too but I'm glad I didn't lol.

When I bought my 04 it was really hard to shift. You had to smash the clutch to the floor and it was still hard. To make a long story short, it turns out the piece of junk factory plastic adjustor had a bad tooth and was causing to much slack in the clutch cable. Replaced it with ford racing quadrant and now it shifts perfect.

Could still be the clutch not properly adjusted. The factory quadrant is just not vey reliable.
