03 cobra tail lights on 99 cobra

I am trying to do a trade including my 03 stock cobra tails plus cash for some 99 cobra amber tailights. How difficult would it be to install the 03 cobra tails on the 99 cobra? I want to make sure it is not too much of a pain for the other guy.

I've never swapped the lights, but can you two swap the tail light harness? That would be the easiest way. I did see one where a guy cut out a hole in the regular lights for the turn signal light.

Theres more to it than just swapping the lights and harnesses. The signal on the 03 light shares a bulb with the brake light, theres something that needs to be done under the dash to let the signal light override the brake
