04 gt trans problems?

So I was cruising around last night and pulled up to a light and went to downshift from 3rd to 2nd like I do 70%of the time and once the clutch started to grab it made a clacking noise and kicked it right back out. It will stay in about a 1/3rd of the time it kicks it out the other times. It only does it downshifting from 3rd to 2nd no other gears they all work perfectly and even up shifting from 1st to 2nd works great. I recently put a upr clutch cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster that are all adjusted perfectly now and the car just hit 63k any ideas on what it could be?

You sure its adjusted correctly and fully disengaging when the clutch pedal is pressed to the floor?

Sounds like the synchro

If the clutch cable isn't adjusted properly it will do it to all gears. Especially going into reverse. I'm betting its a synchro. What kind of fluid do you have?
