SOLD I have my 04 cobra that i've owned for a year now.
originally i bought the car stock with 105k miles last February.
The car came with tinted windows and flowmaster catback.

I drove the car daily until August when the original motor threw a rod.
This was at 110.5K miles.
The car sat until December, when I purchased a New Remanufactured Terminator motor from Tousley Ford.

The motor was installed and driven less than 500 miles when it spun a rod bearing. You can imagine how i feel after spending $6k on a brand new motor, for this problem to occur.
Anyway, ford will NOT warranty the motor, saying that the installer ( my mechanic) did not fully clean out the intake, which caused the motor to fail. Ive fought and fought and there is nothing i can do other than file suit and sell the car hurt as is.
I have ALL paperwork/receipts & documentation.
Car is located in Oklahoma City, OK.

$10,000 takes it.
Title has a lein, for the motor, which will be paid as soon as money in hand.

Current mods:
Completely stock Ford Remanufactured motor with all stock parts and pulley.
UPR O/R H to Flowmaster Catback.
Tinted windows 10%.
Stock 17's with Nitto NT05's on back.
Complete Black/Suede interior.

unfortunately not. but i will update when i can get to the car.
for what my word is worth, the interior is in excellent shape for 110k miles.
side bolster on driver side has very minimal wear, no tears anywhere, dash is flawless.
carpet flawless.

These motors are re-manufactured by some third party company in Texas. You are definitely not the only one with issues. I recently bought mine and when I got it, before I even installed it, I had to have 2 bosses for the motor mounts helicoiled, and the oil cooler had a cut O-ring that I noticed immediately. Then when I installed it, less than 1k miles later it started making weird noises. I immediately took it to the ford dealer and made sure they were aware of it... somehow, the noise went away, but I'm still waiting on it to rear its ugly head. And when it does, I will fight tooth and nail to make them honor the warranty. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that you had such crap luck with the car. And if I were closer, I'd snag it from you.. hell I may still try to find a way. But long story short, If anyone is contemplating purchasing one of these reman motors from ford, be careful, and make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

It's such a sucky situation man. I've tried everything and they won't touch it.

But, I've got a sale pending.
I appreciate all you guys.

For what its worth my buddy didnt clean out his intake manifold after he popped his motor and it cost him a MMR2500 piston because of it and he had to have the head cleaned up. I wouldnt overlook your installer here.

When I popped my motor two years ago and mustve taken a garden hose and 4 bottles of brake clean to it over the course of a few weeks.

I know I definitely scrubbed mine down.. but the point I would argue with the servicing dealer is how would a dirty intake manifold spin a rod bearing? I get that it could potentially cause head/valvetrain/piston damage, but to spin a rod bearing?

Thats true, has it been confirmed its a rod bearing OP? Thats what they thought it was when my buddies car was on the dyno because of the noise it was making but it was in fact a few tiny pcs of metal bouncing around the cylinder.
