04 Super Duty Questions

I have a 2004 Super Duty 5.4 Gas and was curious of a few things.
What other motors does Ford make that are a direct replacement?
Can you throw a 4 valve 5.4 in it? Just curious of my options?
How hard to convert to Diesel?
Are there any new crate motors that Ford sells that are pretty close to direct?

A V10 will swap in without too much difficulty. The easiest diesel to swap in would be a 12V Cummins.
