07' Cobra modability issues?

First of all, just wanted to say if Ford is planning on putting the 5.4 SC engine in the next generation Cobra, I will be one of the first to jump over. Whether or not I decide to keep my 03' will depend on the price of the car. However it would be nice to have both!

ut anyways, what is your opinion of what Ford will do to try and interrupt modding these cars. I am sure that they learned their lesson with the 03-04 Cobras. Do you believe they will try and make it difficult to mod these cars for warrenty work purposes? Things such as tough computer codes, tracking software, etc...


Just wanted to see if anyone knows anything, I dont want to buy a car that I cant mod

I'm sure it will be the same, exhaust, intake mods, and pullies still work. Companie like superchips now has broken the hard to crack code on the SVTF and simply reflashes the stock computer. Steeda/Roush/Saleen already are makeing mods for the gt's.

i dont think it will even be supercharged in 07 but we'll have to wait and see.

I hope they will SC it. I dont think I will buy one if it is not.
Might have to go look at a C6 vette or prev gen Viper.

I'm pretty sure it will look sweet. The Cobra usually delivers in that department. I didnt particularly car for the 98-04' GT, but the changes made on the 03/04' Cobra made that car look good to me!

unless the 6.2 hurricane comes around by then, it will be SC. Expect a possible 5.4 mid-level SE n/a

Im betting in the 5.4 SC detuned version of the Ford GT motor. Only makes sense to use it. The detuning will not be an issue, a smaller pulley and chip and your right back up where it should be.



Or maybe I can steal someones Ford GT, that car makes my jaw drop everytime I see it. It is amazing. I would do almost anything to get one. I cant even imagine what that thing will do once someone gets the balls enough to pulley and chip/tune that thing up.
