Finally got back to the track again, mod include jlt cai, 2.6 pulley, vmp tune, 3.73 gears, d-spec struts/shocks, rear upper/lower arms, 305/35/18 mt et street radials on ccw 18x11 rims.

1st pass:
60ft ------ 2.009 pathetic
1/8 mile--- 7.896 at 97.5mph
1/4 mile--- 12.003 at 122.5mph

2nd pass:
60ft------ 1.804
1/8 mile---7.483 at 99.5mph
1/4 mile--- 12.34 at 91.21mph

Clutch broke going into 4th gear and coasted around the 800-900ft mark, it was on a mid 11 pass that run. Overall I am pretty happy, I am almost at 100mph in the 1/8, car dynoed 531rwhp btw.

Just say no to stock clutches.

Sorry yours broke. Take a peek at Spec.

I thought the stock clutches on the GT500's were decent.

They are ok, but the clutch drag is killing them. This last one was probably my fault, I need a burnout mod, I think I heated the clutch up doing a burnout, hence the need of a linelock. :)

They are as long as you don't slip them. I have 100+ on mine and it's just now getting to the point where it's getting a little notchy on the shifts.

That said, take a look at the tons of people that are having/have had big issues with them. Most have either NOT driven them and the input shaft rusted due to lack of lube or they've ridden the clutch while driving around town. I've seen that happen to 4 different cars!

The stock cerametallic clutch isn't meant to be pussy-footed.

If you eat one on two passes, I'd say there was quite the issue prior to arrival at the track. Yes?
