15 inch rims?

Hey folks.

I am getting ready to equip my 99 SVT Contour for winter weather (I know, it's a little late for that) and I was wondering if non-SVT Contour wheels would fit. I would like to keep my stock rims for non-snow driving and I'm thinking that snow tires for 15in rims would shave off a few dollars. Would regular 15 inch rims off of a contour work? TIA

The brakes on a CSVT are larger than normal contours. Therefore I believe they won't fit. Also if you go with a larger tire on the stock 16" they will rub. Previous owner had 215/60/16 instead of 215/50/16 that tore up the fender liner in the front and back on my CSVT.

I would go with some cheapo rims at pepboys and toss some all seasons on.

15" rims will work fine on your CSVT. As long as you have the stock SVT rotors and not the Focus SVT or another kit.

Thanks! Yep, I have stock brakes. I didn't realize that taller tires would rub either. Good to know.
