i am upgrading my 08 bullitt mustang with the track pack brakes from ford racing, 15" front 14" rear rotors.

i would like to use some 17" slicks instead on using drag radials. i have read slicks are a bit easier on the rear end.
i have read weld wheel makes a wheel that will work. i really don't want to spend 1K for 2 wheels if i don't have to.
i have spent enough putting a tvs 2.3 on my 3V motor.

i have been searching this forum for info on the subject. and found this thread.

i PMed GNEWTON who said FR500 wheels will fit in #16 reply.
i lists him as being a rookie poster in 03. my guess is he is no longer on this site because he hasn't responded to my pm.

anybody know if these wheels will clear the big rear rotors and calipers?

or does anybody know of a reasonably priced 17" X 10" wheel to mount some Hoosier 28 X 10 X 17" slicks that will clear the large rotors.?

THANKS for the reply.

i my searches i read that you need a spacer with the racestar to fit.
is this correct?
if so how big?

also should i get the one with a 6.125 back space or the 6.875 backspace.
