So I am looking at getting some chrome Saleens from AM. They have have both 17 and 18 inch packages, the 17's come with a 10.5 inch rear with a 315 nitto 555 and the 18's come with a 10 inch rear with the Flaken FK453 tire. Looking for some opinions on 17 vs 18 and 285 vs 315. Thanks!

The 18s now come in 10.5 as well, check around. I would always recommend 18s as there is a crapload of race take offs available in that size and I use them to autocross. 18 will (to a small degree) allow more "footrpint" on the pavement.

18x10.5 saleens? Where? I went with a 17x10.5 and a 335/35/17. Next set will definately be a 18x10 with a 315/30 or a 18x10.5 AFS with a 335/30/18. The sidewalls on 17s are just too big.

Hey,

I honestly like both ideas, either one is going to looks sick and give you some meaty tread!

If I had to pick one, I would go with the 18x10s. In my opinion the bigger wheel looks more aggressive, and it takes up more of the wheel well. The 285 should also provide plenty of traction, and only slightly less traction than the 315. Either way you have your head in the right place, and I doubt you will be disappointed with either set up. Let us know what you go with.

Best of luck!

Thanks Dan. I have those on order now so I will just keep the order, I was leaning towards the 18's anyway. Now I just need them back in stock.
