anyone know how big of a tire you can fit on an 8 inch wide rim?

you could go with a 275 but it may look a little odd...

275 DR on the back here but I wouldnt run more than 255 all 'round.

Not all tires are the same. I have 275 Nitto DRs on the back and they look perfect. Now, street radials are different because they have a shoulder built in to protect the sidewall.

If you want to go wider than 245 with a street radial, get the 9", but if you want DRs, 275 Nittos look just fine.

I was in regards to radials, and Nittos run rather narrow.
