Hello Everyone, I have been on a quest to get the best set of wheels and tires on my car in a squared setup. I was never able to confirm 100% if anyone has been able to run an 18 x 10 with a 295/30/18 Toyo R888. I decided to go with a set of Forgestar F14 in Gunmetal like my previous set in 18 x 10 with a set of Toyo tires R888 in 295/30/18. I went last night to get them mounted and balanced and installed on the car. My fingers were crossed because I was worried about the front rubbing on my coilovers. After putting the front wheel on all my worries went away because they fit and they cleared the coilover by about 1/4 inch. On the drive home i decided to see if i could make them rub and I was unsuccessful. they would not rub and I do not require a spacer. I am hoping this thread will help people that were going through the same research issue was having with not finding a definite answer. 18 x 10 with 295s will fit on a S197 with a proper coilover setup. I will take more pictures in the day light. Here are some pics i took last night.
I apologize. I took these last night right after install. I will take some today in the light and post them.
No worries, it looks badass dood. I was going to go with 18X10 forgestars myself but decided against it since I love the look of 19s and don't race very often. excited to see the setup in some good light.
I have 18x10 Team Dynamics with 305 and 275 R888s that I picked up a few weeks ago when a friend sold his Boss. I also scored his 19" FRPP LS wheels in the deal. So just an FYI that the Team Dynamics will fit as well. I intend to run Continental slicks in 285 when I kill the R888s. If you keep an eye on the Rehagen Racing FaceBook page they offer scrubs for as low as $250 shipped from time to time.
I am on prototype RS*R USA Coilovers. I am very happy with them. They are 32 way adjustable. Forgestar does not release their offsets.
The standard Forgestars from AM and Vorshlag are ET42 for 18x10 and 19x10. But it looks like you got something custom that pokes out a tad more.
I think they do….. Forgestar Wheels Custom Rotary Forged Flow Formed Concave Performance Wheels - Forgestar F14 My wheel guy can order whatever offset will work with mine.
I thought I had seem them somewhere, just seems silly to not make them public, not like there +35 or +45 is different than anyone else's.
They are prototype RS*R USA coilovers. they are adjustable so on the street they are super comfortable and when you go on track you can stiffen them up. I am extremely happy with them. RS*R actually has a few production sets in stock, if you are interested.
