What's everybody running nowadays? Was thinking of the Mickey Thompson ET Street R (325/35/18) but that may be TOO wide. Currently on Mickey Thompson S/S (305/35/18) and while they look great 2nd and 3rd are useless.

Just curious if anyone has tried anything that will allow 3rd to hook.

For the strip i use a 15 with 28x10.5 slick and no issues.

Geez. Even third won’t hook?

I think a 305 is actually a little narrow on my 11” wheel. Sidewall kinda rolls in

I may try that 325. **** it.

I was kind of leaning towards that and giving it a shot. I haven't really seen a whole lot of info on that tire and may have to be the Guinea pig. It would look really wide on the car, but it may look good.

I’ve heard they are great.

I’m not impressed with the SS at all.

The old ET Street IIs I had were better.

If you do, please post pics.

I’ve got Viking DA shocks and stock coils to throw on.

Just haven’t been motivated.

I liked my M&H’s better than M/T. Can usually find coupon codes to order direct. I’d shop around for the best deal. Lethal is 10% off site wide right now.

I've used the Toyo Proxes R888 old and new style in a 305-35-18s. My car is at 750+ and they hold 3rd pretty damn good when new, they do wear out quickly if you enjoy and drive your car.

Can you run 315/40/18s? You have strip slicks but for the street the Nitto then the M&H radials are best. MT just isn’t as good on the streets but I choose them myself on the track.

I run the MT 305/35 18 on my 18x10s and they are a perfect fit. I'd definitely go 325 for an 11" wheels, as long as you have the clearance.

Getting pretty tall at that size though. Need to check but prob near 28” no?

Clicked on the drop down and yes, 28”.

305/35 SS is 26.6”

Anyone run that with a 3.55 rear gear?

That’s correct, right at 28 tall. I ran them with 3:73’s back then and it was noticeable compared to a 26 tall on the gear being “taller”.

Few old shots.

If you run your car that's a good tire combo, taller sidewall helps at the drags. Just doesn't look as good as a 35 sidewall IMO. Although your combo above looks really good.
I'm definitely not a fan of the 30s side wall, looks to small for the rear wheel well unless the car is slammed.

Yeah I love the white and black. Never thought I'd be a vert guy but here we are. My daughter LOVES it, always wants the top down which is cool because I never do it myself.

I have a twin turbo car, so power delivery is different, tq builds and it’s like a slingshot instead of all the tq right away. But with a break in tune of 865 to the tire on r888(315/30/18) it holds first, little spin on the shift on second. It’s still an irs car with ftbr full kit and MM coilovers on the stock shocks. I have a set of the mickeys on Saleen wheels but haven’t put them on yet to try them because I love the 3030autosport wheels so much.

Beautiful car man. I love me some DSG. She’s spot on.
