I hate to do it but I'm thinking about parting with my 1981 Hatchback. I've had the car for about six months and its been a lot of fun but I've kind of grown bored with it.
It's a 1981, 200 six cylinder, automatic. The car runs and drives great. I've owned over a dozen foxbodies and this is by far THE best driving one I've ever had. You don't realize how bad the other ones drive until you get in this one. You here the story, a little ole' lady owned it, I'd imagine that is probably true with this one. It's showing 50-something thousand miles, I believe that to be true although I can't prove it. Everything works as it should on the car, its a little cold-natured, but once it warms up it runs great, engine is quite as can be, you can't even here it running.
AC blows ice cold, heat works, lights, etc, etc. it has a CD player in it. Tires are almost brand new.
The paint isn't perfect, but its presentable, definitely a ten footer. It has your normal scratches, dings, and bumps. There is a little bit of rust on the inside lip of the rear fender. Floor pans are solid. I just redid all the trim and grille with SEM trim black, looks really nice. The seats are pretty much perfect, it has one small cut in the carpet on the drivers side, but other than that its nice. The dash pad speaker area is cracked, but its not bulged up or anything.
This would make a great entry level fox for someone, maybe a teenager, or a good fuel mileage car, great collectible, or an awesome platform for a V8 transplant.
I have the Marti Report with the car. A couple of other rare/neat features about this car, it still has the original aluminum keys with it, its passenger side mirror delete, and console delete.
I'm asking $3500 dollars for it, I might give a little, but I don't need to sell ti, and its a great car, so I'm not going to come off that much. I would trade for other foxbodies, trucks, most any thing of interest.
