2.3 gen 2 on pump e75, 2.70 upper only, stock manifolds, stock IRS with brace, 16 inch M&H cheaters. I tried to run one cycle of ice through the tank before each pass but the blower was still warm before passes, I don't think any icing was done on this pass though. 3000 rpm launch.

60'... 1.682
1/8... 7.175
Mph... 97.76
ET... 11.052
Mph... 127.92

Really just wondering about my trap speed, seems low to me. I let my buddy drive it so he wasn't used to the clutch and shifter so he said he was granny shifting and short shifted third at 5500 because the first pass he missed third. Air was pretty good, mid 70's and 30% humidity. I just thought it would trap in the 130's.

I'm surprised too that it didn't trap in the 130s. That air sounded decent. What is the rev limiter set at? I think you need to wind it out as close to rev limit on the shifts without hitting the limited, it's making a lot of 6000+ hp

I know he said he wasn't shifting as fast, he's used to his shifter and twin disc so he was off his game a little bit. He also said he short shifted third at 5500. Did a compression test the next day and it was near 180 across the board.

I misheard, he was launching at 35-4000 rpm. It's street tuned so I have no idea on numbers but I've been thinking about putting it on the rollers and doing some logging.

My Vmp Tvs @ 18.5#'s pump gas tune on toyo r888's (315-18's) I ran a 11.425 @126mph
that number is cutting a 1.9 60 foot time basically leaving at 2,000 rpm.

That said I also have a killer chiller and my blower temps are always in check.

Here's my shitty quality granny shifting video... Hahaha

I suspect it's that short shift into third that hurt the most. 60 looks pretty good for a non drag car.

I was also impressed with the 60'. 26x11.5x16 M&H cheaters on a pony rim is a nice light budget setup. The car did do 130 on nitto DR's but it was only 2.0 60's.

You seem like you're 5mph too low, at least. Belt slip? What are you shifting at?

Just for referrence my 595hp whipple does 119.xx in the 1000ft at the street drags, no burn outs. Running drag radials.

Way too low, but to make sure, do you have a dyno chart? I shift at 6800, peak power is a little over 6600.

It's also tough to give you an answer without knowing your Iat2's. For ice, I cycle through to cool off on my little underhood tank, then put a fresh batch of ice in for the run.

Did you datalog? You should of. I log all my passes so my tuner can see what's up. I was never dyno tuned. Just email tuned. I never cared much for what a tuning tool says in terms of power.

I feel you 2.3 guys should be a little quicker but it takes TIME to learn. It could be really conservative on the tune. There's ton's of factors. Here's my last outting with the 2.3 whipple on 93 pump gas. And i cant drive. However it looks like im doing far better than those who posted what their car does.

My mods and track times are in my sig. I have a 2.3 whipple also. I would have expected 130s as well. I have hit 128.5 before on pump gas 590rwhp. I always wind each gear out to 6500rpm.

How much boost is that with your whipple?

I dont know these cars are hard to drive. I am no expert at all. I barely drive mine anymore. no time and no interest. I lost my touch.

when I saw my buddy john crack 126mph with his ported eaton car I was like wtf man. 126mph ported eaton car no spray. venomous03cobra. But, the car sounded like it had an automatic, thats how fast he shifted. Guy got every ounce of power from that car.

The OP is a buddy of mine and I was the one to drive the car on this track outing. The mph is low because on the first pass I missed third. That was on my mind on the other 2 passes which caused me to slow shift into 3rd. All shifts were in the 6000 to 6300rpm range. I have no doubt that is what caused the low mph. Plus his clutch and release point as well as shifter is completely different than mine. If I drove his car everyday I would've hit 10's at 130plus.
