2.5" catback to stock 2.25" h-pipe?

My buddy ordered the Mac 2.5" catback system for his '90 GT. He didn't think of it till afterwards if the 2.5" will fit up to the stock 2.25" H-pipe. Does anyone know if he is going to have to get a new 2.5" h-pipe to match the catback or will the 2.5" catback fit to the 2.25" h-pipe?

It will mate no problems. Both use the same size ball and socket type joint.
