Looking to pulley my terminator this fall with stock Eaton. . Looking at either 2.76 upper or 6lb lower with alt. pulley. Reason I'm looking at 6lb lower option is to eliminate belt slippage with 2.76. Seems like the 2.76 install would be easier.

Thoughts/comments?

I have a 2.76 and with an AUX idler I have 0 belt slip at all. Put down a conservative 456/456 with the setup.

2.76 is unnecessarily small for a stock blower. I put down 460/470 with intake, TB, 3.0 pulley, and exhaust. A pulley that small will make a lot more heat and hardly any more power on an unported eaton. IMO it's not worth the higher temps. I say go 3.0 or 2.9. I have no belt slip whatsoever with the 3.0 and I didn't need an aux idler so I have the stock pulley cover on as well. That's the approach I prefer to take. You will get a variety of opinions here on svtp but I want to stress that a pulley that small isn't necessary.

I've owned three terminators over the last 10 years. All three had intake, TB, exhaust, and a 3.0 pulley.

First one made 473/473 with steeda intake, accufab TB, Mac prochamber, and Mac 2.5" cat back.
Second made 465/470 with JLT CAI, dragon TB, bassani catted x, and borla stinger cat back.
Third makes 460/470 with steeda intake, accufab tb, and Mac Pro chamber / cat back.

the 2.93/4# lower is the notorious happy spot for these cars. I have a 2.76 on my ported and make 485, but I wish I would have stayed with my 2.93/4# plan... now I jhave to go twin screw... lol

So a 2.93/4lb lower is the best combo?

I feel the 2.90/4lb lower is the best combo for a Ported Eaton setup for the street. If you're trying to get the max performance at the track and icing or using a Killer Chiller I'd go with 2.90/6lb lower or 2.76/4lb lower (both with a Ported Eaton, not Stock Eaton). On the Stock Eaton street car I'd go with a 2.90 Upper. Max performance at the track etc I'd go 2.76 Upper on Stock Eaton. I wouldn't change the lower pulley until I Ported the Eaton, so with Stock Eaton I'd maintain the Stock Lower Pulley. Just my thoughts.

I wouldn't do any lower on a stock eaton. I have a 2.76 upper on my car intake full exhaust and good tune. Made 486HP and 503TQ on a unported eaton.
