I am installing a Borla Cat-back, BBK Offroad X-pipe, Cold Air, Chip, and either a 2.93 or 2.80 upper pulley this week.
What should I do in the 1/4 with those mods and the 2.93?
What should I do in the 1/4 with those mods and the 2.8?

Any help appreciated. I want to know if its worth it to go with the 2.8 and an idler. Thanks.

You should run the extra idler with either the 2.80 or the 2.93. You will get belt slip with either pulley w/o the extra idler.

Thanks hunter. I'll just go with the 2.8 since I have to buy an idler anyway.
Does anyone know how many tenths quicker the car will be in 1/4 with the 2.8 instead of the 2.93? Is there a huge difference? Thanks.

I read an article in either MMFF or 5.0 about this. It was at kennybell's shop and they did a dyno run of the 2.93 and 2.80. They said the 2.80 made 2 more psi than the 2.93 did, but it didn't produce anymore power due to the blower not being efficent at that level.

So from reading that i'm just going to get the 2.93 which should amount to a little less slip than the 2.80.

I'm sure someone can add more detail to this.

there is a huge poll going on right now in the "Modifications" section that will help you decide. and by the way, you do not necessarily need an idler with the 2.93......

u dont need idler with 2.93 i have no slippage at all + i dont know if u care but if u change idler u cant put pulley cover back on - 2.80 is overspinning the blower - u might get slightly higher #'s on dyno but at the track and driving around the blower is gonna get to hot and lose power - i have 2.93 pulley - diablo chip from Rick at Amazon Racing - magnaflow catback and AR stage 1 filter kit THATS IT - i only ran the car to different tiimes so far - on f1's full weight including full tank ran 2.03 12.12 @ 119.83 and the second time ran a 13.01 @ 71 slamming on my brakes (missed fourth) my 1/8th was 7.81 @ 94.78 that is an 11.9? @ 120+ - hope this helps good luck
